We stayed for two nights for gorilla tracking - Two nights is quite enough though some people recommend three. We stayed in a room very close to the main building, so handy for taking electrical stuff to be charged. Patience serves the unlimited free house cocktails then gives an excellent ($60) massage in a well equipped massage block. Food was...

The accommodation and the food were 5 star, but the best part of Sanctuary was the incredibly helpful staff! Smiles and super service - from fast turn around on our laundry, to excellent massages, to snacks and a drink by the fire at the end of the day. We were truly pampered and so happy. The proximity to the gorillas...

I could not have imagined the incredible and luxurious accommodations virtually in the middle of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The service was impeccable...even had shoes cleaned and dried after 11pm so I could do another Gorilla trek. The food was amazing and the staff was very helpful in avoiding gluten for the week without anyone else having to "suffer". Fresh...

Words cannot express my visit, but I'll try. This was a life changing trip for me and I'm in the process of organizing a second trip back this fall. First, the camp is amazing, don't let the idea that you are in a 'tent' dissuade you from visiting. The tents are spacious, luxurious and clean. The staff is incredibly friendly,...

This camp is not only beautiful but situated right in the National Park. You only need to walk across the road to get to your starting point on the Gorilla Trek. The rooms are fantastic and have everything you could possibly want. Loved sitting out on the deck of an afternoon watching the monkeys play through the trees. The staff...

We spent 3 nights at the Gorilla Camp. It is the closest and most luxurious of the lodges near the Bwindi Jungle. Ganda is a unique country of friendly people who always smile. The camp has spacious rooms with 2 queen size beds, nice bathrooms with good showers. The common area for breakfast, lunch, cocktails and dinner is lovely. Weather...

Hiking to see the mountain gorillas in Uganda is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We did it two days in a row, visiting two different gorilla families on treks of 7-hours and 3-hours, round-trip, respectively. How nice it is, after the exertion of the hikes and the exhilaration of the 60-minutes spent with each family, to come down out of the forest...

My stay was amazing! I can't wait to go back. The hotel grounds are peaceful, beautifully landscaped and serene. I went to Bwindi to see gorillas but was pleasantly surprised by the hospitality of the staff, my driver (Rogers) and fellow guests at the lodge. The staff provided wonderful, personalized service that catered to my every need (they even clean...

Don't skimp. Stop thinking. Just book it. We simply loved this property and everyone who came to join us for a drink from surrounding properties wish they had chosen to stay at Sanctuary. Located in the park, the setting is incredible. The rooms are individual tent-bungalows with short walks to the common area, nicely and tastefully appointed with great beds,...

The staff at Sanctuary Lodge, Uganda are WONDERFUL !! I had a huge problem that I just realized upon arrival at the lodge. Camp host Nickolas was fabulous. He was very concerned about my problem and went far beyond any of my expectations to solve the problem. Also, another camp host - Macarious (may not be spelled correctly) was very...

As the only concessionaire luxury camp within Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp is the perfect base from which to track the park's most famous resident - the mountain gorilla. The main area features a comfortable lounge and bar area as well as the main dining area while the mini spa offers a wide selection of treatments. Located within the National Park, Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp offers guests an unrivalled location, including the best bird and wildlife viewing in the Bwindi area. In fact Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp often receives regular visits from the gorillas themselves. For the lucky guests in camp at those times, they may have the chance for a gorilla encounter without even leaving Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp. The eight tents at Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp are stylish and spacious, each featuring two queen sized beds. In addition to the comfortable warm beds, each tent has a huge bathtub that looks straight into the jungle canopy ideal for soaking tired muscles after a day spent observing and meeting gorillas.
