Hema Guest House is adjacent to Virupaxi Temple, you've to cross river to reach there. Other side of river is different world altogether, it's somewhat similar to Goa ambience. Rooms r quite basic and nothing great to mention, they have decent restaurant. U can also rent bike if u want to explore part of Hampi. Overall average stay. Not recommended...

We spent lovely four days in hema guest house and we felt very comfortable. Stuff was so friendly and helpfully. Rooms are very cleansed nice. It's a calm and good place to relax. You also be able to take tasty food and some drinks in the little restaurant. Wifi sometimes isn't working very well but it's not a big deal.

Quaint and peaceful place, Good place to stay and have food and is very economical. One can have good food and drinks and join the evening get together and jam sessions where people sing or play musical instruments.

I did not stay here but did eat 3 times in the restaurant. This is an open patio, with umbrellas, only a few tables, overlooking beautiful rice fields and rocky hills. Right on the main road, this seemed to be the only place around offering masala dosa. Very tasty and inexpensive, Another time I had a palak aloo (spinach and...

Chill, good vibes, a lovely environment and the staff is really nice. The customers are mostly friendly backpackers and cool travellers. This is the place to stay in Hampi, if you want to enjoy fully the mood of the area and the hippie atmosphere of this amazing place. I have travelled a lot in my life and this is one...

We stayed at, and can recommend, Hema Guest House in late December 2016. It was easy to find, had a welcoming restaurant with a surprisingly extensive menu and a cool, yet family friendly vibe. We felt pretty bohemian sitting on the floor enjoying a great meal with our tired kids at the end of our first day sightseeing. The rooms...

We were a large group of people and booked ahead so got a very good deal at the time. But either way, Hema is worth a stay - good value for money (also in its restaurant), location is perfect, cheap scooter rental and especially the guides are great! We spent a whole day hiking with a local boy who showed...

Me and 4 of my friends here booked here as it's cheap and on the hippy side of Hampi. 5 of us wanted to stay together in one room to make it even cheaper, we arrived and could check in at 9.30 which was perfect as we arrived on a night bus early morning. The staff were very friendly and...

Rooms basic for 1200 rupees. Staff (except the young waiter) were extremely rude and unhelpful. We spent more time (and more money) at Nargila guesthouse due to friendlier staff and better service. There are plenty of places in Hampi to stay if recommend looking elsewhere.
