First of all: beautiful scenery, but unfortunately, at the end of the word. literally. to the nearest town you can get by taxi (as I remember 7euro) or by foot - 40 minutes walk through the klif. so better take a pair of good shoes. but the view is amazing. in that nearest town is even sandy beach. food: ok....

kalypso is in an incredibly beautiful location on an inlet with access to the clear blue sea along a nice long deck with plenty of comfortable sunbeds. The outdoor areas are good with at least three pools and superb views across the bay. Our room was large and comfortable and all have great sea views. And it was cheap. So...

We recently stayed at the Kalypso Cretan Village and we were pleasantly surprised. Let me tell you right up front, this isn't a three star resort. The place is old, décor is 80's, and its a hike from the airport, bout 2 hours. All that aside, the location is BEAUTIFUL!! I was a little apprehensive booking a resort on the...

After reading the negative comments I was apprehensive what a pleasant magical surprise to find the total opposite. The setting is magical, the staff super helpful and the food amazing. It's true that the rooms need a coat of paint but it is certainly not as bad as some guest have stated. My friends and I would not hesitate one...

-We had booked a room with sea view for our family. The room we were given had no sea view. But this proved to be our least important problem. The room was smelling awfully due to humidity and the sewage system. We asked for another room and they showed us the only one that was available which was also terribly...

Amazing scenery, with high rocks in the sea, view to Liviko pelagos, and rich wild flora. Many interesting activities (e.g. diving and spa), three pools, excellent cuisine with many cretan plates and a high level of service..

Even with such an amazing location and the best sea views in the area, Kalypso hotel delivers a very poor service, with not so clean facilities (mold in the swimming pool showers, dirty windows), very small variety in pool bars (1 flavour of icecream), expensive snacks (3€ for 1 scoop icecream) and poor variety and quality of the food for...

Kalypso is an overpriced expensive 2 star! Unfortunately we stayed two nights... No service to speak of, if you can even find a staff member. Restaurant is very expensive and only open certain times of day with a set menu. Take our advice and drive into Plakias for your meals. We saved heaps by doing this and ate a beautiful...

I have to say I was a bit worried after reading reviews that rooms would be horrible but we wanted to stay a couple of nights because of the location. I was pleasantly surprised that the room was nicer insider than I had expected. The furniture was in great condition and there was plenty of room. The bathroom was old...
