El Guia is a small hotel with restaurant located in the center of Soller, next to the train station, and very close to the main square. With a long history (since 1925), it is one of the oldest establishments in Mallorca. Its physiognomy retains all the character and charm of the most traditional architecture of the island. Although without large facilities, it offers the visitor the possibility of staying in a genuine hotel, very Mallorcan, and especially careful in all its aspects. Because of all this, it is a very welcoming place. It has 24 double rooms with private bathroom and air conditioning, most of them with beautiful views of the Serra de Tramuntana. Worth noting, the hotel restaurant. Recommended and recognized already by grandparents, children and grandchildren. Classic cut, simple, elaborately prepared cuisine with native ingredients. It is mentioned in many publications, including the Michelin Guide. The location is ideal for hiking enthusiasts. The valley of Soller and its surroundings is privileged place for the beauty of its places, by the way, recently declared by the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Sadly our planned trip at Easter to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary was cancelled due to Covid 19. Communication with the hotel was excellent and a full refund was provided as an alternative to transferring the booking. Snr Rullan was very helpful in all correspondence. We wish them well for the 2020 season.

Our stay at Hotel El Guian added so much value to our stay in Soller and here is why! They are literally a few steps away from the Tram station and the Església de Sant Bartomeu Cathedral which is as central as one can get in Soller The view from our room was INSANE and the staff was so kind and helpful. The hotel had a lovely spa as well with Sauna and Hot tub! So, we thank Hotel El Guia and their awesome staff for an incredible time. We highly recommend you stay here when you visit Soller.

We came here on a recommendation and were absolutely shocked by the quality of the food. The vegetables are frozen, seafood is frozen and we couldn’t even finish our plates (which is quite extraordinary as we are both real foodies) The service was lovely and the restaurant was full with other tourists (aged 60+) and perhaps it suited them better with its very 80s inspired menu and presentation style. But if you’re serious about food, don’t waste an evening eating here as you will just be disappointed

Dear Talisp, thank you for taking the time to review our Restaurant. We do take all customer feedback seriously and it's disappointing to note if a customer has not enjoyed their time with us. Let me say that I am surprised you felt your dishes were “frozen”. I can assure you that this is never the case. We have a regularly changing menu using the freshest seasonal produce from local suppliers, and I was disappointed to hear you did not rate our quality. Fresh food is a mainstay in our historic business and we never like to see any of our guests leave unhappy. As you can see from previous reviews our menu are usually very highly praised and therefore it is very unusual to receive a review of this type. Without further detail I regret I am unable to comment further, but would be happy to discuss the same should you wish to contact me directly. I'd love to hear a bit of constructive detail so we can see what it was you specifically didn't like about it and look into it. Our email is info@hotelelguia.com Kind regards, Lluis O. Director
