the hotel is located at a hill and is really beautiful. car park is limited and road up is narrow. dinner is very nice and good value. room clean and comfortable. the castle alone is well worth the visit

Yes it is. Be prepared for a hilly walk/drive up though. Not much in the town really. The parador is the main event.

It's about 100 km from Barcelona's main airport (El Prat) and approx. 1,5 hrs drive. Looks like an early start... Rental car or taxi seem to be the only options.
