A beautiful hotel on the pinnacle of a hill overlooking Cardona, with good food and fabulous views. The village below takes you back in time with winding roads, the traditional town square surrounding a fabulous cathedral where the population congregate. Magical Xmas eve experience. The hotel was just okay - with much room for improvement in my view. Luggage was... More

What a great place to stay! After a awful experience in Andorra this was a palace by comparison. The charm of staying is a castle was paramount, but the rooms we had were very nice. Perhaps a fresh coat of paint would have been nice but very pleasant none the less. The staff was nice, and the restaurant was good... More

Very historic castle in a wonderful location. Reception and public rooms are beautiful and the rooms are nice, not luxurious. Perfect for one night. In the near location is Montserrat which is a must do, so coupling the Parador Cardona and Montserrat is perfect.

This hotel is in a spectacular setting- the view is worth the price of the room. Additionally the food and service are beyond comparison. Our group of six must have had 8 people making sure our every need was met. I wanted to stay longer to try every item on their surprisingly reasonable menu.

The hotel is situated on the top of a tall mountain with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside and local salt mine. We stayed in the Montserrat suite; well worth the extra Euros. Welcoming cava, fruit, and a delicious in-room breakfast, with enough food left over to pack for our lunch that day. Dinner was delicious, and all the staff... More

You can see the castle from miles away as you approach what must be one of the most spectacular locations in Spain. The reception staff were welcoming and most helpful. The room was a little small but perfectly adequate. There are also plenty of spots dotted around the hotel where you can sit comfortably and read & relax. We chose... More

Great views and good food - cracking combination. Breakfast is probably one of the best I have taken in a hotel. Room quality was charming - old style furniture but with very modern bathroom. Parking on site is tricky to negotiate but achievable.

Fabulous hotel- the location is breathtaking - just at the tip of a mountain. The staff were very friendly and although the food is a def. pass( horrible, not fresh, hardly local and so expensive for what you get!) the room was nice and clean and the atmosphere just blew us away. Perfect for a romantic gateway( as long as... More

We spent a memorable night in the castle in early October. The weather was pleasant, the views were spectacular and the entire castle was beautiful. If you're looking for a 5-star experience this is probably not it, but this one will go down in the record books. The included breakfast had more than enough food to cover many tastes, the... More
