We parked up and didn't need to use the car again until we left. Perfect location to explore ulswater without the car. Free WiFi in the room. We had a lovely room with views of the lake which were stunning. All the staff were Friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was great we didn't need to eat again until our...

We'd booked several months ago in case we got invited to a wedding nearby (we did!!) and received an automatic reminder the day before our arrival, which was helpful and reassuring. Checkin was smooth and friendly, once we'd found the reception desk though the labyrinth. The room was quite small and basic so fine for one night. It overlooked the...

My colleague and I stayed here for an evening whilst on a business trip. The hotel has recently undergone extensive refurbishment and what a transformation. A very stylish and welcoming bar (the pizza was amazing) along with the 'Let it Brew' coffee shop, which served the most delicious sticky toffee pudding cake, all made for a quiet, relaxing and enjoyable...

We stayed here as a family of four for one night. It's a great location right near Ullswater. We found all the staff to be really helpful, flexible, good-humoured and friendly, and that made our short stay very pleasant. So - in the round, I would say we had a nice experience. On the down-side - we had room 41...

Recently stayed for two nights for a wedding. Really nice hotel with great, friendly staff. Big room with a great view of the fells and lake. Didn't try the pool but the 'Beckside' bar was small with nice atmosphere and great looking pizzas. We had dinner in the main restaurant on the Saturday. Nice staff and room - the food...

My husband & I called in here while in the area, at lunchtime on a glorious sunny day & had envisaged sitting on the newly rebuilt patio area, whilst sipping a drink & soaking up the views, quiet & warmth of the sun, but while trying to order drinks/coffee we were horrified to be told that we couldn't order/be served...

Dear english_audrey I have to say I'm so disappointed you have felt the need to write this review if you wanted to support us after the devastating time we have had with the flooding. Firstly, let me apologise that we were not open for your visit I wished we were, however, we do have policies in place, our opening times...

I stayed for two nights while in Glenridding on business. Parts of the hotel seemed a little tired & in need of an update. The rooms were clean & tidy, mine had a side view with partial views of the hills and lake. They originally had me allocated to a room overlooking the road but after asking to be moved...

We didn't stay here, but had a fabulous meal at Beckside, the new name for the newly rebuilt pub, after the floods ruined the old place. The bar looks great, the staff were really nice and the food was superb. I had nearly gone off eating out after an awful meal at the Brackenrigg restaurant a few days ago, but...
