You can get KJ LRT line to Gombak and from there its almost 11RM drive. Very rich in history but don’t forget to wear relevant shirt. The humidity is high and hot there esp. when you climb up almost 270 steps.
The staff at this small hotel were the nicest part of the place. However the condition of the room we got was unfortunately subpar. I was chasing two mosquitoes in our bathroom (where did they come from?) and with my headlamp I nailed one of them... the other got away. But in that fiasco, I could see the sheer amount of lack of maintenance by the room crew - the cobwebs on the toilet ceiling was baffling. If it’s an isolated place, with no one staying, sure... but it was a hotel! That aside, the mattress that I used was probably really old as I felt that I was going to slide off it... probably a sensation exacerbated by my sore neck. Room lighting was dim, and we were issued a Hitachi remote control for the Samsung LCD TV. The York aircon had this humming sound throughout the two nights we were there - but thankfully worked. I believe I also saw a massive water filtration filter outside of the hotel itself - so the water seems to be potable already. Nevertheless I also had my personal water filtration unit to do a second round, and we drank the tap water without ill effects.…
