Perfect place for relaxing vacation! We spent there 2 amazing weeks. In the end we felt the resort like our second home and the warmly staff like our Dominican family! Special thanks to Amaya's team - Roger, Janelly, Marialis, Fernando, Edison! These people are amazing - our second family - they were really friendly, helpful and excelente! We would unequivocally recommend this resort to anyone who enjoys great service, food, and relaxation. While we were one of the few families with children, we would encourage anyone who enjoys peace, quiet and quality of the highest levels. The Dominican culture is to be praised and the pride the staff from start to finish is second to none.

Booked as a five star experience at a five star rate ($1,344/night). There was a time when this property was spectacular- that time was about 20 years ago. Common areas, walkways and bridges in need of comprehensive updates. Pools with concrete bottoms and tiles falling off. There is a difference between rustic and rusty. Time away from home is too precious to waste. We left they property and booked at Paradisus (excellent). Despite my complaints, they kept my money for two nights and for the extra services I paid for but never used. Hope they use my money towards the improvements that are so desperately overdue. If you pay $200/night, you’ll love it. If you’re looking for a 5 star experience, look elsewhere

Dear guest Thank you for taking the time to share your review of your experience with us after months ago from your stay. It is with great sadness that I read of an overall disappointing experience, for which I cannot but offer our sincerest apologies. This is certainly not the type of stay that I want for my guests and that you received. Nevertheless, how can a guest rate an experience after only 1 1/2 hours with us ? I would also like to clarify some of the points you mention. Our resort is not yet 20 years old and we have been remodeling it over the years, however, after the Covid, during which time it was completely closed, the recovery has been slow, but we have made a lot of progress. In fact, the room assigned was a remodeled room. We are planning for this year to continue the complete renovation of the areas, pools and rooms and yet they still have their charm. Otherwise we would not be selling a product in poor condition moreover, now as being part of the Inclusive Collection part of World of Hyatt which forces us to have strict standars and procedures. Definitely not worth the money you pay!! It basically worked out to a $1,000 per day for each of us. When we arrived, we were put in the older section and the hardwood flooring had heaved and we were tripping over it constantly so I made them change us to another location which was newer and improved to what we had. We did have several issues within the room which were repaired but should not have happened from an excessive leaking toilet to the tub that would not drain the water out, etc. (things you don't want to be bothered with when on vacation ... waking up in the middle of the night and the bathroom is flooded with water!). We originally requested to be in a room near our family from the onset but our request was not met upon arrival so we wasted the first 2 days sorting this out. Food was limited and after awhile became very boring with a breakfast menu that was the same every day as there was no buffet. Beef on all menus was very tough (it was like rubber and could not eat it) and vegetables appeared to be lacking on most lunch/dinner plates. I have frequented many/many Secrets/Excellence in Mexico over the years so going to Punta Cana and a Zoetry (which I thought was one above Excellence and Secrets) but was disappointed with what we paid for this vacation as it was way below our expectations. Will not go back to Punta Cana nor a Zoetry! There are better places to travel to that offer so much more than what Punta Cana and Zoetry Agua have to offer. …

Dear Dianna Thank you for your feedback. I am very sorry for your experience with us which is never what I wish for my guests. The last thing I want is for you not to feel the cost-benefit relation. Unfortunately, for all that you comment you are absolutely right. There is no excuse for the incidents in and with the room. I have to say that I never knew about this issue, otherwise I would have liked to personally apologize and have been able to change your perception of who we really are and the service we offer. Regarding the food we are working on it, especially with the quality of the products and suppliers. We just returned from Zoetry Agua Punta Cana. The best part of this resort is the service. So many of the staff took time to remember our names which made us feel special. Benjamin (Mr Happy Happy) was the absolute best!! He took the time to always greet my children with a smile and fist pump and took the time to chat with us. He played ping pong with my 9 year old and did an amazing job with dance lessons with my 16 year old daughter. Our concierge Ramon was unbelievable. He checked in with us daily, asking what he could do to make our vacation enjoyable. He was prompt with every request we asked of him from delivering wine to our room to helping with a boat excursion. Amazing amazing experience. I didn’t want to leave!!! Food was amazing, service in every restaurant amazing! The manager in the Amaya restaurant remembered my husband like spicy food and made him a spicy sauce with his entree. …

I finally experienced zoetry agua after many years of clients rave reviews. from arrival to departure I felt very welcome by staff.
