We had booked the "Casa" room with a king bed for a week's stay in Benicia in February. Two days before our arrival we were contacted by the new innkeeper, Ann, and asked if we would change rooms. Apparently the former innkeeper, Christina, had booked us into an already occupied room--occupied by an oil rig worker who, who along with...

In California for a family event, we chose to stay in Benicia for the charm and history of the town. Not to mention convenience, great scenery, friendly people, and good restaurants. We chose the Inn at Benicia Bay as it offered the charm, convenience, and amenities we wanted. Christina was more than accommodating. The Inn is currently undergoing renovation. We...

I never thought I'd be writing a bad review about this place my husband and I have fallen IN LOVE WITH. We stay in the same room (front private room) every time and until this past trip have come and left with nothing but positive feedback. Unfortunately, the first day/night of this most recent stay has left us with a...

Ok so B&Bs are not always the most quiet or private but The Inn at Benicia Bay is both and MORE! We were in town for a family event and stayed in Celia's Garden room on the second floor for 2 nights. We could not hear a sound from the room to the side or down below -- a big...

This is a fabulous Bed & Breakfast. Judging from other reviews, it went through a re-modeling stage a few years back. However, today it is wonderful.....with some of the softest sheets I've ever known. Just a few minutes walk to downtown Benicia.

My sister and I stopped here as we were touring the area. While the inn is being renovated as stated in the above review (and we were made well aware of this), Kimberley assigned us to one of the renovated rooms on the ground floor. We found it to be perfect-- immaculately decorated and cleaned, with a very comfy mattress...

The Inn at Benicia Bay is a work in progress!!! The owner purchased it not long ago, and is in the process of restoring this historic site. The Inn keeper, Kimberly, was absolutely wonderful and SO hospitable and helpful!!! And we were able to have a wonderful conversation with the owner, Stephan!!! I'm not sure when the restoration will be...

The only positive thing about this place is their proxcimity to downtown. The joy of staying in a bed and breakfast is to get that personal introduction to an area. That was sorely lacking in our stay. In fact we never met the inn keeper, the maid gave us our room key. The restaurant on site was closed.. they forgot to...

Benicia is about 30 min from wine country and about a 30-45 minute ferry ride to San Francisco from the vallejo Ferry terminal not far from Benicia. This hotel is in the historic district, and is vey comfy and beautifully refurbished as an older historic home.

We departed after one night. There was no one reason, but an accumulation of disappointments and irritations. When we arrived we were told our room was upgraded. It was late, I was tired, hungry and totally caught off guard. Unfortunately, we accepted an alternate room. Prior to making our reservation, I spent a long time looking at the pictures and...
