Motels like this make me nervous in terms of safety and cleanliness. But the location seemed the most convenient to the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest. In the end, I'm glad I stayed here. ROOM: It's no frills and the furnishings are outdated, but it was comfortable. The room was clean - the carpeting in particular was in really good condition....

Older, classic single-story motor inn constructed of cinder block, which keeps rooms cooler and quieter. Rooms are affordable and very clean. There is a mini-frig, cable TV and free Wi-Fi. We had two fairly comfortable chairs and a small table. Rooms do NOT have a hairdryer or microwave. There is a large grassy area with BBQ, tables and lounges. One...

We were in Big Pine to meet friends and bicycle in the area. This was the ideal spot to stay! We had a room with a kitchen and it was just what we needed - large fridge, kitchen stuff, spacious, proper lighting, wifi, nice central area for meals outside and all very clean and efficient. The proprietress and others there were...

I had an unplanned stay here for one night due to some car trouble. The proprietress here was very friendly. The room, super clean and recently refurbished, one of the cleanest rooms I've stayed in. I appreciated having a small refrigerator. It is an older and simply appointed establishment. The main structural walls are painted cinder block. One might think...

Now I can say I've stayed in every single motel in Big Pine! Wow, what an accomplishment! Haha, but seriously, there are only three in the whole town, so... Of the 3, I think I like this one the best. Starlight is close, but this one seems to be quieter in terms of road noise. Bristlecone is kind of a...

The room was very nice. Old 60s style, but everything was either refurbished or new. Spacious with a frig and use of a microwave in the ice room. The outdoor area was grass and very pleasant to sit and read. The rooms are set back from the highway and are quiet at night. I had made a reservation and we...

Well, the second time it was by choice, the first because it was there and convenient. A Mom and Pop, though I only saw Mom. Very reasonable rates, very nice lady running the place. Clean and quiet and quite comfortable, a little dated, but not in any need of improvement, unless you really need a flat screen instead of the...

This place is old, but it has been kept up well. The lady who runs the place is really friendly (in a good way). Room was clean and updated. Wifi worked, fridge in room, good ice machine as well. Pillows not quite up to par. Power strip in room to charge up phones and camera batteries (much appreciated). Bathroom was...

The Big Pine Motel is a wonderful place to stay. The manager is a VERY friendly lady and really made us feel welcome. Our dogs were also welcome (note: there is a 10$ per pet fee). The room was very clean and the atmosphere is really nice. They have barbeques that you can use in the common area as well...
