We stayed two nights and it was very comfortable, you felt like you really were in someone's home. The innkeeper was there to check us in, give us a key and answer questions. She does not live on site but it was not a problem and the first night we were the only guests. The living room was a little...

I have stayed at this B&B 4 times now. It has gone down-hill in service. While my room (Pleasant) was fine, and having a separate entrance a plus, the lack of on-site staff for much of the day was problematic (it took a while to find someone to check me in, other people needed help and had to call the...

Motels in Bishop are grungy or overpriced, so we went for this B&B. There was too much clutter of unstable, fragile antiques and oversized furniture. We could barely fit our suitcase in the room and kept ramming our toes into the heavy bedframe or rocking chair. Every surface was covered with dried flowers or cutesy junk. The bathroom door banged...

A gem of a place. The owners have done a wonderful job of decorating this historic house. Peaceful and close to great restaurants. The owners are very friendly and breakfast was great. And the prices are an amazing value!

We came across the Chalfant House on a last mintue trip to Bishop on 4th of July weekend. Most places were booked solid. We could not have asked for better, we were greated by Lisa who was wonderful...!!!! Because of the last minute booking we had to take two rooms...which was less for the two rooms than the dirty motel...

Chalfant House B&B is great - It's CLEAN & QUIET. The cost was about 100.00 per night. We love the fact that it is not right on the main street located about 2 blocks off and it' quiet.Close enough to walk to the main drag, where the restaurants and shops are located. The owner Pattie is very accommodating. She carries...

After a long drive from Los Angeles, we were ready for a rest. As soon as we saw the beautiful exterior of the Chalfant House, we knew we'd picked a winner. It's on a sublime little avenue just a few, short paces away from the main street. Patty gave us such a warm welcome, she is the most wonderful hostess!...

I booked two rooms for Bishop Mule Days (7 nights) and we were all delighted! Patty is an excellent chef and the rooms are very nice. There are excellent restaurants within walking distance, but the house is quiet. We liked it so well we booked THREE rooms for Mule Days 2011!

We stayed one night at Chalfant house, and overall it was a nice experience. The house itself is beautiful with lots of charm. The room we got was also nice, with a comfortable large bed. The highlight was definitely the breakfast! We first got a bowl of fruit, which was then followed by a plate with egg, toast, and bacon....

I stayed two nights at Chalfant House and found it to be one of the best B & B experiences I've had. The facility is very clean and located within easy walking distance of downtown Bishop. It is also quiet in spite of being close to the action. Patty is extremely friendly, easy to talk to, knows the locale, and...
