My wife and I were looking for a little R&R and a night away from our little rascals and I happened upon the Borrego Valley Inn via Tripadvisor. Some might think it a little crazy to come to Borrego in July and it was truly very quiet but that was all the better for us. We had a fantastic night's...

Thanks for finding us, and good for you for making time for a little R&R and a night away from your "rascals" -- we do need to re-charge from that job! As you discovered, the summer desert is the place for true solitude and quiet -- many consider summer here as a "meditation." We're so happy you found that at...

I am not sure I can add too much to what others have mentioned. We have stayed here twice already, once in the suite and once in a room on the same side, both times in December. We love the peaceful atmosphere here (no kids! - love them, but sometimes need quiet you know) and the hotel provides understated luxury...

Thanks for returning and posting a review. We're happy to know you found the Inn peaceful (that's something we all need more of) and that you enjoyed breakfast and Luisa's afternoon cookies. Especially appreciated is your comment about other guests being quiet and respectful -- you put it perfectly. The Inn seems to attract the nicest people! Most are seeking...

I've stayed here for years whenever I can. I enjoy the peacefulness of the desert and this inn is well maintained with comfortable, southwest style guestrooms containing a nice little kitchenette. Love the clothing optional swim area and hot tub. Summer is usually particularly quiet all through Borrego and is my favorite time to go. At BVI, breakfast is delivered...

It's nice to know another summer desert lover! As a returning guest, your comments about our improvements are music to our ears, and we're thrilled that you enjoyed Chef Pamela's summer breakfast basket menus. And you're right about the in-season breakfast buffet -- Pamela has pulled out all the stops to create a memorable start to the day, and we...

Borrego has so much to offer to those looking for photo opportunities. We were up very early (4:00) to catch the sunrise, if you sleep till 6 you will miss it. We also shot the sunset and the great star filled night. BVI is a wonderful retreat with very clean grounds and rooms. It's very quite, which is what I...

Love that word "Heaven!" Thanks so much for visiting and for your kind words. Summertime visits are in a league by themselves because of the long sunsets and amazing summer Milky Way skies, and we're glad you enjoyed it. Of course, we do need our creature comforts like air-conditioning in the summer, and we're sorry you were bothered by the...

Best place to stay in Borrego springs without question. Rooms are large and well furnished. Breakfast is nice. Lying by the pool is the best .We like to come in the hot weather ,nap in the afternoon and recline by the pool at night and look at the night sky.

You have the summer desert experience spot on! Thanks for visiting, and we're very happy you find the Inn the "best spot" in Borrego. But we're even happier that you (like us) enjoy the summer ambiance here. It's not for everyone, but there's no better place to melt the stress from soul and bones than the desert in summer. We'll...

Well, first off, I'm hesitant to write a good review because I'd hate to see BVI become too popular :) That being said, we just spent two nights/three days here in the casita with the kitchen and BBQ (#15). Very nice and comfortable. Like most of the other reviews on here said, the breakfasts were amazing and a very pleasant...

Thank you so very much for visiting the inn and for your review. It sure sounds like you captured the essence of desert enjoyment. We couldn't be happier that you found your stay comfortable, and we're very pleased you enjoyed Chef Pamela's wonderful Badlands Breakfast -- believe me, she has spoiled all of us for good with her yummy creations!...

We loved our stay at this resort. The staff was friendly, the grounds were beautiful, and the food at the breakfast each day was five-star. The room and its decor are fabulous; no detail was overlooked. Every inch of that space was well thought-out and clean, with cute details. My only criticism is that the pool area lacks charm and...

Our stay at the Borrego Valley Inn was just what I needed . . . a serene environment . . . a quiet and meditative experience. If you need to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city life or if you need to de-stress from your work environment, then this is the place to go. Spectacular...

It sounds like you tuned right into the valley "vibe" here, and we couldn't be happier about that. We aim to provide that serene, quiet, and meditative experience that we all seem to need these days. Thanks so much for staying with us. We had a great time meeting all the wedding guests -- such a festive, celebratory occasion!
