We stayed in the Elderberry Suite which is situated in the gatehouse - a stunning room with everything you need, with a short walk to the restaurant. Moor Hall delivers in very way and has to be one of, is not the best restaurants we have dined at. From the various amuse bouche served in the lounge to the final dessert dish - every course is stunning - packed full of flavour, perfectly cooked and presented. Every one is memorable, leaving you wanting more every time. We opted for the wine flight which presented us with grape and country varieties we would never had tried as a bottle - some unusual and one which challenged us completely - the sommelier had advised us of this. Service is wonderful - very attentive but not overbearing in anyway. We prefer a relaxed service and it was nice for the front of house staff to take time to chat and give more information on certain dishes or wines. As we were staying, we also had breakfast the next morning. This was more of a tasting menu breakfast than a standard cooked breakfast with pastries being served initially, followed by charcuterie and salmon with a more traditional cooked breakfast to finish. Overall a truly memorable experience and would recommend that Moor Hall is on your must visit list.

Excellent meal in beautiful surroundings. Staff were superb and all the food exquisite. A lovely touch at the end when were presented with a gourmet selection of chocolates and shortbreads etc with the coffee. The roaring fires added to a fabulous atmosphere. My only slight grumble is that no one greeted us at the door and the receptionist was on the phone. So it was a bit of an anti climax after a beautiful walk through the gardens in.Nevertheless it deserves me giving it 5 stars as it really was absolutely superb.

A total treat. Arriving at Moor Hall we were a little early so had time to take in the beautiful gardens from which so much of their produce is obtained. Reception was slick and friendly. Our suite overlooked the small lake and was a wonder of gold and black with an enormous bed. If I had one adverse comment it would be that the under floor heating in the bathroom was a little - too hot! But it was the dinner that really excelled. First, a cocktail in the lounge accompanied by 5 amuse bouche - including my favourite, the baked black pudding, plus some wonderful home produced charcuterie, tiny smoked eel +++ Then to the actual dining room which is airy and modern with an open kitchen. We chose to do the flights of wine which were well selected and complemented the 8 courses completely. Who would have the imagination to concoct a poached oyster with buttermilk, dill and beetroot, or a perfectly cooked sea bass with homegrown vegetables. All so lovely. Breakfast was another treat - no choice here, but yoghurt, followed by smoked salmon and charcuterie, then black pudding, soft boiled egg, bacon an sausages. It was all delightful and (if we have the money - luxury doesn't come cheap!) we will return.

I cannot recall ever being so impressed with a restaurant before. Where do I start? The food, the staff, the service and the room were all beyond compare. On this occasion you do get what you pay for.

We had the opportunity to visit Moor Hall for a wonderful over night stay and dinner. It was wow! From the moment we arrived we felt so looked after and comfortable all the staff were obviously at ease, friendly and practiced in their delivery of superb service. We stayed in the Mulberry Suite what a treat,it was beautiful and the attention to detail was fabulous. What can I say about dinner? I can't really express in words how amazing it was you will just have to come and try it! We enjoyed every mouth full I have never had so many flavours in one sitting, produce from their own walled garden, meat and fish smoked on site, homemade butter and yoghart the list goes on, pure quality. Service was seamless and because of the open pass we could see the well oiled machine of the kitchen, calm, organised and they looked as though they were enjoying cooking for us. Just go if you can definatley 5 star ⭐, 2 🌟Michelin and worth every penny
