Cambria and the California coast is breathtaking. Having read the reviews of other travelers and the rating we booked an ocean facing room. Room 121. Our check in was great and the nice individual was very helpful in recommending a local place for dinner. Frankly, the location is great and the outside appearance of the property is charming. Our room...

Thank you for taking the time to review us. We value all of our guest’s opinions and are always looking for ways to improve. I am sorry you felt the Old English theme of our rooms was not what you were looking for. Thank you for bringing to my attention some of the maintenance issues you experienced and we will...

My wife and I spent two nights at the Fog Catcher Inn in Cambria in late December, 2013. The accommodations were more than adequate, and we really liked the fireplace, which provided the gas heat for our room. We paid extra for a view of the surf and ocean across the street. This view, which includes a view of the...

So excited to hear you had a chance to visit the elephant seal rookery. Many of the seal pups were born in January and February so it is a great time of year to visit Cambria. Thank you for taking the time to leave a great review. James Davison, General Manager-FogCatcher Inn

Just a wonderful seaside motel with friendly staff and fantastic location. This our second visit and we just love it, you won't be disappointed and the location is perfect for a walk along the seashore, shopping in Cambria, visiting the Hearst Castle or taking a day trip into wine. Rooms are nice and cozy with easy access for us older...

The room was dark, dreary, and needed new furniture ten years ago. It was painted a bland color and the ceiling was high so I felt like I was in a barn the whole time. The fire place was cute and easy to use by the touch of the thermostat. It was the only source of heat in the room...

Calm, serene and beautiful. Nothing takes the edge off better than a stay at the Fogcatcher Inn. That's the reason we keep coming back to this place. We look forward to getting that full ocean view with the balcony. Just love watching the sunset at dusk while listening to the waves crashing on the shore or going to sleep and...

We returned to Fogcatcher Inn last weekend, to celebrate our anniversary on a Central Coast/Big Sur/San Francisco weekend. It was even more inviting and wonderful than our last trip, and we truly appreciated the way the front desk gal went the extra mile to help us return to the same great room. Second floor (easy steps up, no big deal)...

Cambria is a charmed place and the Fogcatcher Inn is the perfect location. Right on the shore, so you hear the surf. Wonderful walking along the bluffs, great restaurants nearby. Lovely rooms, nice breakfast, friendly staff. We look forward to our next visit!

Nice clean cottages on Moonstone Beach with ocean views. Immediate access to boardwalks along ocean with ramps to beach. Beautiful sunsets and several restaurants within walking distance. Good hot breakfast in a nice breakfast room. Friendly and helpful staff. Close to Hearst Castle and Elephant seal viewing areas. Cambria just a short drive with more restaurants and shops.

We booked this motel last minute based on reviews and we're very pleased. The rooms were cozy and comfortable. The view and proximity to the beach a real plus. A small snafu in reservations could have had a terrible outcome, but the excellent management and professional staffing made everything right. We were delighted with the rooms, and were treated with great respect and willingness to please.
