several things to do (zip lining, tubing, horse back riding, biking, walking, birding and the list goes on)
plus this is the closest hotel from the rincon de la vieja national part
Our family of 4 (us and 2 teenagers) got the all day adventure pass and had so much fun. We started with zip lining and loved the views over the trees, through the canyons, climbing on the rocks, etc. It was more than zip lining...More
We booked a "superior" room, but what we get was a dark chamber, whitout balcony and the windows directly to the stall, whit accompanying odor!! Never take the number 70!!
The buffet (Breakfast and Dinner) or A la carte was fine.

Everything was top notch but......maybe because of New Years period it was some enormous crowd! We took zip lining, tubing, horse back riding and hot pools. We merely had 30 min for hot pools at the end because it got dark and they closed it....More

Yes, you should be able to. You will be a short drive to both park entrances. The Santa Maria entrance is open until 4pm, Sendero Catarata until 3. There are a couple easy to get to waterfalls on the Santa Maria side (unless the road has been fixed you will need four wheel drive with high clearance or you will need to walk in). Save Las Pailas Sector for the next day, the waterfalls are a harder and longer hike but well worth it. There are 7 trails within the park, the map that you can see online with an easy Google search. I loved my time here.
