The venue is nice. But the property is surrounded by small-farmer neighbors so if feels more like a rural neighborhood than a remote lodge. The rooms are nice but the views are short - blocked by nearby ridges. There are no other place nearby to eat so meals at the lodge are your only choice. They are way overpriced, served...

We had a great stay at Rinconcito Lodge. It was different then the other places we had stayed at on our trip, being remote and 20 minutes from the nearest town. In a beautiful setting and nearby to some amazing attractions. While the accommodation was very reasonably priced for a fantastic room and great facilities, the buffet meals were pricey...

Stayed for a couple of nights with family and our Doxie. Restaurant area is nice, however, parking area was not guest friendly, full of mud and with no appropriate access for guests to make it safe to the main building, I almost felt down twice trying to reach my car since it was very muddy and wet, a small investment...

Stayed here for two nights. It was an okay place - room was nice and had what you needed. A couple of caveats: 1) the hotel is quite far away from the nearest "city" (around 15-20 mins) so you might feel like eating here is your only option, at least we did since we don't want to drive around unpaved...

This hotel offers nice rooms, pool and views. The breakfast was tasty with omelettes to order by choice. We bought a tour from the hotel to the Santa Maria park with a guide to the waterfall and fumeroles - don't do that!!! First of all the price was $75 each, which is expensive but as we had a guide along...

Comfortable rooms and well-maintained grounds...a good place if you can entertain yourself with a book or wifi or are content to lounge at the pool all day. Your best bet is to have your own car to get to Rincon de la Vieja National Park or other nearby attractions (Miravalles mud baths or the zipline canopy tour). The lodge can...

These people were awesome. The place is in the middle of nowhere, but what a nice place. One of the nicest rooms I've ever had in Costa Rica. The lobby/restaurant/bar was real nice as well. The food was very good, and the staff was really nice. I highly recommend this place if you are staying in the area.

The rooms are lovely, with solid wood furniture and the bed very comfortable. The grounds and pool area is beautifully landscaped and impeccable maintained. Every morning and evening we saw Toucans and Macaws in the trees. The staff treated us like VIPs.

While a car is necessary here, the location is great and very near to (rough road of) the Santa Maria sector and not far from the main Las Pailas entry. The rooms were fairly priced and very spacious. Staff were friendly and accommodated our late arrival without any problem. Would stay again!

Great and helpful staff, stunningly modern and nicely furnished rooms, everything set in a beautifuö landsape, the only disadvantage is, that this hotel is very isolated, so that you are forced to eat the delicious, but absolutely overpriced food, if you are not willing to spend half an hour by car to get somewhere else. Breakfast was really good, and...
