We spent 4 days at the lodge with Amazonian Trips, and overall had a great experience. Our guide, Raul, was very knowledgable and enthusiastic about everything we saw, and spoke very good English. The food was better than we have had on any other budget tour... They seem to really put in an effort to make is varied and delicious....

I stayed for 4 days and 3 nights. Raul was a great tour guide. He had an uncanny ability for spotting animals, had endless knowledge, and was a friendly and funny person. Food was consistently filling and delicious. Overall the staff were very friendly and helpful. We saw a wide variety of animals during our stay, definitely one of my...

Ashly, I am sorry if you experience was not as expected. Our guides are not supposed to remove any sloths or other animals from their habitat to show the guests. The animals are to be observed in their natural habitat. However, we cannot control what the local people do, we can only advise them of what is right. Pacaya Samira...

I booked 5 days and 4 nights expecting a nice lodge in the Amazon. When we arrived found something quite different. The owner is now aware of the problems and promises to fix it, but until that happens do not expect anything like the photos! The staff that are currently there do not speak english and are pretty lazy. No...

Had a great time on this trip, spent two nights three days in total. Saw a ton of wildlife with our guide Rual who was very knowledgable and grew up in a nearby village. Facilities were good for jungle living - I didnt go hungry! One of the better trips I undertook on my 6 month trip!

We spent 2 nights and 3 days at the lodge and we'd totally recommend the experience to anyone who wants to be fully immersed in the Amazon jungle. Actuaylly it was one of the best we had of our entire trip. We had an incredible guide with us, Raúl, who showed us the most disparate species of animals and was...

If you like luxury or prefer nice hotels with hot water, wifi and electricity, this adventure is not for you. If you are adventurous, don't care about dirt, mosquito bites, hit, and overwhelming humidity, you will love this lodge and the experience there! The 3 days we spent at Amazon went pretty smooth. We were picked up at the airport...

We were extremely disappointed with our guide (who happened to be the manager Walter's brother). He got us lost on several occassions, so that we were stuck just waiting in the bush while he and another guide walked around trying to find the trail. Either that or follow them in cicles, which we did for a few hours before he...

I stayed three nights at Chullachaqui. It was a fantastic experience. The lodge was comfortable, clean and free of bugs which seems amazing considering where it is situated. The tours in canoe to various parts of the Amazon river, Tapira tributary and smaller waterways were fantastic. Our guide and his uncle were really nice and knowledgeable. The walks were fascinating...

“Travelers should know going in that this is a lodge in the middle of the Amazon jungle -- there is no electricity, no hot water, and there are occasionally mosquitos and frogs wishing to keep you company. However, a five-star resort with full amenities would be an insult to both the people who live here and the natural beauty the Amazon has to offer.”
