We stayed at the Cypress in for two nights as a stop on a leisurely trip down the coast. Given the hype and heritage (owned by Debbie Reynolds), we wanted to love this place. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. When we arrived, we were shown to our room, which was small, stuffy, and outdated. We then returned to the front...

You almost never need to leave the beauty and comfort of the Inn. Great food, drinks and beautiful outside courtyard. Everyone is friendly, including the guests. Don't miss the morning popovers or the best scrambled eggs ever.

If you go to Carmel, and have a dog or not, this hotel, it's charm, location and staff is perfect. And the fact Doris Day owns it, magical. A step away from Ocean Ave and a short walk to the beach. Love.

For an authentic, albeit quirky, Carmel experience, look no further than Cypress Inn. Whenever a destination is populated with small inns, choosing over the Internet tends to be tricky. Carmel is no exception. I extensively researched my options and still had no clear choice, so I was both delighted and relieved when I finally arrived at Cypress inn. For location,...

I felt as though I was with family. Awesome!! I will be back. I liked the room, the room service, the food, the people, the entertainment. All was wonderful. The town of Carmel is so charming and the Cypress fits that charm, just like Doris Day.

Wonderful 3 days spent at the Cypress Inn during the Doris Day festivities. Loved every minute and cannot wait to return to the Inn. The energy and pleasant staff made us feel welcome and were there whenever we needed them.

Clean comfortable and friendly. From the moment we walked in we felt welcome. The rooms were small but very comfortable and had everything we needed and more. The staff could not have been more professional and service orientated.

Very pet friendly! We just loved the ambiance of this vintage California hotel. Beautifully maintained, great entertainment and cuisine. Breakfast was fantastic with delicious fresh fruit (the cantaloupe is the sweetest I've enjoyed in years) and the popovers were a great surprise! Our dog Chloe really enjoyed all the attention from the friendly staff. I look forward to returning.

We loved this hotel. We are not particularly Doris Day fans but we chose this hotel because we had heard great things about it as a dog friendly hotel. This hotel really caters to your pet. We thought there would be a few dogs but this hotel was packed with dogs. It was amazing and so fun to interact with...

We took a last minute trip up the PCH from LA to hike in Big Sur and enjoy the beautiful California coast for my birthday this year. I had visited Carmel a few months prior and had a peek at the Cypress Inn while we were in town and knew I wanted to stay there someday. The relaxed elegance of...
