No pets no kids, no phone, no TV ... if your idea of paradise is a peaceful haven one block from the beach, where the sound of the surf lulls you to sleep and the aroma of good coffee wakes you in the morning -- boy, do I have a recommendation for you! We have visited Carmel many times, but...

The Sandpiper is located on a quiet street near beautiful Carmel Point just a few steps from the ocean. My room was on the second floor with a view. It was perfect for a solo traveler. The staff was warm and welcoming and the breakfasts were delicious. I felt like a guest in a private home. Will be back.

Staff was terrific. It is a nice place. Rooms a bit small, but you won't spend much time there. Private bath rooms. No TV except in lounge area. Nobody turned it on while we were in the lounge!! Breakfast was excellent. A different quiche every morning. Fresh fruit, homemade granola and yogurt. Good coffee. A long walk to town. Beach...

What a beautiful little place! We arrived for a stop here on our road trip south to LA. 25 degrees outside, but still welcomed with open fires as well as afternoon tea. We had a lovely little room in the cottages out back, it was just idyllic. Fantastic location, very friendly staff, delicious breakfast. The only downside..... we only had...

This was a pleasant small inn. The staff was friendly and the breakfast good but not great. There was a very inviting public room and breakfast area. We were in Rm. 3, which was clean and comfortable but a little small. There is a tv in the public room but none in the private rooms. The Sandpiper is located on...

I'm not sure what to make of this place. There are undeniable plusses but also some significant minuses. First, if you are assigned a room in the "cottage" behind the regular building, both the bedroom and the bathroom will be small to the point of feeling cramped, there will not be reliable wi-fi and you will probably have to schlep...

This is a lovely classic Inn in a residential neighborhood a block from the beach and walkway to town right above beach. Close to all the goodies in Carmel but not in the tourist center. Delightful breakfast - great quiche served by the hostess. Pleasant and helpful staff. Good value.

We spent 2 nights in room #4. It was very cozy with a fireplace and a distant partial view of the ocean. Very comfortable place. Had quiche for breakfast with fruit and coffee. Played chess and cards while waiting for dinner reservations. Overall, it's a nice place to stay and enjoy Carmel. They recommended room #5 or #11 for next...

We had a terrific stay at the Sandpiper Inn in Carmel. The staff were super helpful, especially when there was a brief power outage in the early evening. Although we were told by many businesses in town that a power outage was unusual, the staff at the inn were well prepared and gave all the guests battery operated lanterns. The...

This is basically a huge house converted to premium B&B. I wasn't too sure when I booked because price is still high. However, the place passed my expectations. Why? - Location is great, Less than 1 min walking to the sea - Service is great, above all the old woman at Breakfast. - Rooms are actually big and very comfortable....
