We stayed at this nice Inn only one night. We were in room number 12, a large room with ocean view. The owners renovated the Inn 2 years ago. The room is large with lots of light and a sitting area. The web site presents pictures of all the rooms. The renovated bathroom is a good size. There is also...

We enjoyed the Sandpiper's proximity to the beach, the town, and the Mission at Carmel. The inn keeper suggested a local restaurant that doesn't cater tot eh tourist crowd as much as to the locals, and it was excellent. breakfast was good and well prepared, if not a whole lot of variety. the room was clean and comfortable.

Great location in a very quiet neighborhood.. Short walk to the ocean and short drive into town. We stayed in room #12.Very spacious with king size bed. Breakfast was delicious with a varied selection, Maria was very friendly. Our whole experience was wonderful. Would definitely go back.

This Inn is in a quiet neighborhood with a nice beach very close by. Great for walking! Room was small but clean and comfortable. A bit pricey at $178/night. Good breakfast by a nice German lady. We plan to return.

So I see online that Sandpiper had a couple of rooms left for the night for around $125.00 AAA membership. So we go in to pay for a room around 8pm and the lady at the front desk says that her "website is closed for the night and those rates no longer count." and offers us the same room for...

The Sandpiper Inn is a very homely place. We were lucky to have been given a ground floor room thanks to someone very kindly checking in with booking.com regarding my husband's walking difficulties. The location is 2 minutes walk from the ocean which allows for superb sunset opportunities. The only reason for one less star was the breakfast. It wasn't...

This was the last stop on our California holiday so we decided to splash out for our last place and are so glad we chose the Sandpiper. We had room 5 which was lovely, we woke in the morning to the sound of the ocean and the view from our window was fantastic. The room was large and well equipped...

Very cosy, friendly and special place. Loved the atmosphere and location (very close to the sea, and further down the center). Got the C room (isolated little house) and we were really amazed by it. Breakfast is great and the owners are really nice with the guests.

We stayed during the first week of September. The room we were originally set to stay in was #7 but due to the door lock not working we were upgraded to a king room - room #5. Both rooms were very nice, but due to the size I would highly recommend the upgrade if you can swing it. The location...
