Stayed here for a day and night first week of January. Operative word: RUSTIC. Things I liked: the cabin & surrounding grounds, Fireplace, Fridge/coffeemaker/microwave in room, overall atmosphere, PRICE. Things that need improving: room decor, lack of electrical outlets, bathroom (in general), bedsheets (old). This is a great stop for couples on a budget who are not high maintenance. If... More

Overall the whole hotel just feels abandoned. The carpet was ugly and dirty. The same goes for the shower curtains and bath tub. Breakfast was also bad. The only reason we didn't leave immediately is because there were no other nice hotels available and we were tired from driving the whole day. Thank God the sheets were clean!

Stayed here this past weekend for the last time, the place has really gone down since last time we were here. Bad service and with no notice whatsoever they no longer deliver breakfast to your room but now set it up in the lobby for you to come and serve yourself. this would be fine if they didn't advertise as... We have stayed here many times and thought it was nice place for the price. Wellthistime we were very disappointed. The rooms are very sterile not a bit charming. The "fireplace" is a wall heater that glows, which had no way to regulate it was hot or cold. The floors are bare. There was no TV station guide in the... More

Recently had a quick 1 night stay planned and due to an unfortunate family emergency and hospital visit, needed to cancel inside the 24 hour window. Originally booked the room on Booking.com. Called the Inn 1st and they said it was out of their hands, so I called Booking.com and they needed to call the Inn to try and cancel.... More

Difficult to find, had to stop at another hotel to ask where it was. Sign was hard to see in the dark. Once we found the resort, it was difficult to find out cottage. Finally parked on the street and walked through the grounds to find it. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom had a musty smell to it. The... More

About 30 small cabins nestled in tall trees. Our renovated cabin was roomy and clean. Lacked bath towels but did have 4 washcloths. New fridge, but no microwave. Coffeemaker missing, but coffee and tea on tray. Took two requests to get bath towels and coffeemaker. Indoor spa jacuzzi was lukewarm, just about body temperature. Staff refused to up the water... My husband and I took our 6 year old to Hearst Castle and decided to spend the night in Carmel on the way home. It was a last minute decision and so there were not many hotels available that can accommodate 3 people so we chose Carmel Resort Inn. We knew Carmel was an expensive town so we weren't expecting... The first impression was "A nice little cabin, with nothing fancy" The king bed was comfy and the tv worked.. However the taps in the tub/shower leaked and the bathtub was stained. The breakfast basket presented in the morning was ok except the plain muffins were horrible. The price was great for the time of year we stayed there. The place... More
