The Normandy Inn, opened in 1921, has an architectural style typical to the Carmel of the era, namely that of an English country village. The property has been meticulously maintained and functions very well in all departments, from check-in to maintenance and housekeeping, thanks to manager Sandra. The beds are comfortable, the towels are good, and the breakfast room remains...

Our first time to visit this inn and especially thankful for others who reviewed it on Trip Advisor. We stayed two nights and thoroughly enjoyed the staff, facilities and location which is basically less then a block from all the shopping and wine tasting in Carmel downtown. We had one of the rooms with a fireplace which burns dura logs...

I took an overnight trip to Carmel with my daughter and we stayed in a very nicely remodeled room at the Normandy Inn. It is a very quaint little hotel right on the main drag. Easy to walk to restaurants, shopping and the beautiful beach. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean and comfy. Great place to...

We stayed a week at the Normandy in a very nice room, 107. Large, very convenient and a little unusual because it had both a powder room and a bathroom/shower room in separate corners of the suite. I actually worked well for my wife and I. We saw several other rooms that had fireplaces which ours did not. The furniture...

Rooms and cottages at the end of the main town center of shops and restaurants. We stayed in a standard room (king bed). It was a very basic room, nothing too fancy - tv, small fridge, coffee maker & supplies, small table with two chairs, iron & ironing board. Pros: 1) I would give it a walk score of 100!...

We returned to the Normandy Inn because of a previous experience, and were even more impressed this time. The staff greeted us as with a welcome back, we were invited to enjoy their comfortable sitting area where tea, coffee, biscuits, and sherry is available to all guests [ and of which we took advantage]. We stayed in a well appointed...

Santa Cruz-Monterey-Carmel trip. Better than 3 coins in a fountain this vacation was so perfect for us. It had been a decade since our 50-State Quest was done in 2001. But we still needed to take off somewhere each year maybe not as extensive like years past. So this review will be taken in September of ((2011 not 2016)). Here...

The hotel was on the main drag, equally located to all the shopping and the oceanfront beach. Everything was walk-able. We stayed with another couple. Both rooms were decent size, but ours had a more updated bathroom. Ours had a large shower only and theirs had tub/shower. There was limited parking and a basic continental breakfast included. The rooms had...

My husband and I visited Carmel having never been there before. The location was perfect on main st, everything within walking distance, very clean room, friendly staff, quiet, nicely decorated, quaint. Continental breakfast added bonus. Highly recommend and will visit again.

On what's become a yearly visit to charming Carmel, we chose a Cottage Suite (#207) over the traditional fireplace rooms we've enjoyed on past visits. We enjoyed the extra room and handy kitchen - perfect for preparing a little snack in the evening after a day on the road. As we've come to expect, the room was very clean, comfortable...
