Nice and cosy small size inn a 3 minutes walk form the shops and restaurants. The room was spacious enough, with direct view to the ocean: we enjoyed champagne at sunset, with the magic colors of ocean and high coulds, circling buzzards... A gas-fired chimney provides heat and a comfy atmosphere before shutting lights off. The team was welcoming and helpful,...

Staying here was the quintessential Carmel experience. The inn is tucked away on the edge of downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea, so we could walk to all the shops, restaurants, and art galleries. We parked our car and left it there for the weekend, which was great! We stayed in room #6, which is a 2-bedroom suite, with 2 bathrooms (one with a...

Visiting Carmel, CA is expensive. Still, it is a delightful way to celebrate a special occasion. After reading as much as we could, we chose to stay at the Carmel Country Inn. Glad we did. The location is off the main street, and quick walking distance to all that Carmel has to offer. The Inn is pet friendly - and...

There is a lot to recommend the Carmel Country Inn, but there are also a few shortcomings for a $300 a night room. On the plus side, the staff is warm, friendly and incredibly helpful. The location is the perfect walking distance to town and the area is quiet and peaceful. The bathroom is quite large, but there is only...

This place was far enough away form the main shopping streets, but close enough to walk! Our quaint room with fireplace was cozy and comfortable. We shared a two bedroom-two bathroom suite. We took the king bed and smaller bathroom, they go the queen and larger bathroom, so it was a fair trade off! The only less desirable aspect was...

We loved our room that was very comfortable with fireplace and big king bed. We enjoyed a continental breakfast in the morning before headed to the beach with our friends. Our dogs, Funston and Lucy, loved the beach and were given special treatment at the hotel - treats ! We highly recommend this dog friendly hotel!

Me and my family just visited the Carmel Country Inn, it was everything we expected and more. The room was comfortable, it was kept very clean and it had all we needed. The Inn has a great location as well, since it is located very near the commercial area and yet you experience privacy. The staff was very helpful and...

Just returned from a wonderful stay in Carmel. We chose the Carmel Country Inn based on their amazing reviews.... And they lived up to them! Fantastic location (walking distance to all of the shops and restaurants), adorable inn/room, yummy breakfast (loved the quiche and fresh pastries and fruit) and friendly staff. We especially enjoyed the afternoon snacks of cookies, lemonade...

We have just departed this lovely place after staying 2 nights. Photos do not do this accommodation justice. We booked the deluxe 2 bedroom corner suite (bottom floor) and it was great. 5 minute walk to shops and restaurants and a short walk down hill to the beautiful beach. Delicious breakfast, we were also offered snacks to take for our...

This Inn is located right on the edge of the commercial area where it meets residential. The bad first since it's a short list: - Parking is a premium due to the small parking area. The positive: - The staff is polite and responsive. - The buffet is nice and fresh. - We stayed in one of the two bedroom...
