Our expectations may have been too high but we were disappointed with the level of service and the value for money at Carmel Country Inn. We arrived around 7p.m. and the receptionist took us to our Deluxe King Suite but did not explain how things worked except the fire. In fact we later had a problem with locking our door...

I am truly sorry you were disappointed in your stay with us. We strive to provide everything a guest requests, and in this case, we failed, but we can not always anticipate every person's needs without them asking. Not only do we escort our guests to the guest room and give them an orientation, but we also leave a welcome...

We felt as if we were staying in a home where we could walk to the shops, the restaurants and the beach in no time. As soon as we arrived, the manager was anxious to see how she could help with our dining reservations, our tours, or anything we wanted. Amy, the manager, made us feel so comfortable and like...

Well...to start with, I have to agree wholeheartedly with deejaRedwoodCity!! We've (my husband, lil' dog & I) have stayed here several times over the last 3 years and though we've never written a review before, we always rave about this place. Truth be known...we didn't want too many people to get hip to this gem for fear we wouldn't be...

Often when people write more than one review about a location it is because something has changed with their experience. My husband, dog (Louise), and I can attest to the fact that it's still the best place to stay in Carmel. From the moment Amy greets us until it's sadly time to leave, we know we are on vacation. The...

This place is awesome! It's very quaint and clean. I loved everything about it. The staff is very friendly. It's in a beautiful setting and close to 17 Mile Drive. I stayed in room 1 that backs up to the kitchen and it was perfect. It has a queen bed and I didn't really hear any noise. It is spacious...

This was our first stay at Carmel Country Inn. The staff was very welcoming to my husband and I and our furry child. The room was one of the upper rooms which worked out well for us. It was very clean and did not smell of previous animal guests, so definitely a plus. Our room had a fireplace and balcony...

Delightful setting, lovely accommodations, delicious breakfast, dog friendly, helpful staff - would definitely stay here again. Mini quiche, oatmeal, granola, pastries, fresh fruit, coffee, tea, cookies - a great start to the day. Rooms were well maintained, clean and spacious. Staff was friendly and answered questions with lots of good information.

Amy and her staff went out of there way to take great care of us. We booked a suite that was cozy (fireplace) and comfortable. The bathroom was luxurious with a large Jacuzzi tub. Parking was right outside of our room so jumping in the car for a day's adventure was easy. Close enough to downtown for an easy walk...

I have stayed in many of the dog friendly inns in Carmel, and this one is now at the top of my list. All of the front desk staff were super friendly and made us and our 2 dogs feel very at welcome and comfortable. I recommend staying in an upper level room, as the ground level rooms seem very...

Amy and her staff are so welcoming. This is our favorite place to stay in Carmel. They even remember our favorite room. Breakfasts and goodies they put out during the day are wonderful. Thanks for the warm welcome and making us feel like old friends!
