It looks pretty unassuming as you drive in and down to the room block. We thought it was just another little motel but there is something that makes it really special. As we opened to sliding doors to leading out from our room to the pool we heard the sound of a beautiful classic concert being held in the music...

It was a very quiet and comfy place to stay for a couple of days. Excellent breakfast, great location and really comfy bed! The room was basic, but very clean, the pool area was nice. The downside would be that as there is no air-con, it would get really hot in the summer. The hotel is outdated, but actually retro!...

Great location to stay for day trips to Big Sur, Carmel, Monterey. Close to great hiking and wineries. Very quiet. Well kept, flowering grounds with a pool. Room 23 on 2nd floor is clean and cozy and very comfortable. Had homemade waffles and coffee for breakfast- all included. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We rented three rooms. All had patio/pool access and all were clean and the gardens were lush, green and well groomed. Pleasant staff. Walking distance to the quaint little Carmel Valley Village with good eats and several wine tasting venues. Only complaint: bathrooms are outdated and it was impossible to regulate water temp in all three showers.

DON'T DO IT!!!! We stayed here 2 nights. The first morning we woke up to two German shepards barking and playing with a miniature pony under the bedroom window in the neighbor's yard (at least entertaining!) The next morning (8am) was giant tree trimming trees trucks and loud men outside the room. The neighbors have a tree trimming business and...

Dear Guest, I am so sorry that you had a bad experience. We are looking into insulating to reduce the noise and moving the upstairs back patio to the front of the building so that you will have a beautiful view of the courtyard. At the time that you came we were in the process of painting the exterior of...

The accommodation is laughable. What looks good in the photos doesn't look so good in reality. If you built yourself a holiday cabin and you had never built anything before this is what you'd end up with. There is some sort of light industry next door. If you limit your gaze to about 30 degrees out of 360 then the...

We spent the day meandering through the tasting rooms and galleries in the little downtown area of Carmel Valley and decided to stay overnight. The Country Garden Inn had vacancies so we decided to give it a shot! We are SO glad we did! This property has been updated from an older one but has plenty of charm, excellent cute,...

We booked a room on-line and were unsure what to expect. The property is a bit dated, but it is very well maintained and located in a beautiful setting. Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, and we slept very well during the night. This is a great location for exploring the peninsula. The breakfast was great as well. We...

My expectations for this inn were high after seeing the reviews and the pictures. I was expecting something cute and quaint. The lodging building is just a charmless 1960's era motel. The room furnishings are new, and the room seemed clean enough. But the bath, windows, etc. are all very dated and tired. I reviewed the pictures on the inn...

A quick weekend getaway to Carmel Valley brought us to this spot. The location is wonderfully tucked away in the heart of Carmel Valley. The rooms are a short trip down a hill from the office, and provides a very private retreat. The rooms are nicely sized with high ceilings. The decor is a little dated, but I believe there...
