I have stayed various hotels in San Diego from The Atwood, Holiday Inn, Best Western, Ramada, etc. This hotel has exceeded my expectations by daily room service, comfy beds, and breakfast its the typical American breakfast. Eggs, potatoes, bacon etc there is no waffles, pancakes, but it makes it up with yogurts, toast, ham, cheese, cereal, apples etc. They even offer non dairy options if you are lactose intolerant. This hotel is in the heart of a lot of good places to go especially the Chula Vista Marina and everybody needs to go check out Tacos Del Gordo. I am from LA and have been coming down to SD for almost 12 years for a nice little getaway and I finally found the hotel that has taken care of my family of 4 so well. I highly recommend this hotel. I have been reading these reviews and I do not see all of the negative comments comes from because this hotel has shown nothing but awesome service. This stay was for 6 days and they have shown nothing but awesome service. I am constantly leave reviews of all the hotels I have stayed but this one I have exceeded my characters.

Not a boutique hotel, but an old pigeon hole 3 level motel with tiny rooms, empty walls, and constant traffic and TV noise from the rooms next door. O.K. the new girl at the desk was really nice, and the breakfast room was presented well. Other than that, the AC. Was weak and the total experience was a let down...

Two stars because it had a comfortable bed and a clean room. Not somewhere I could make myself comfortable for a few nights. Booked online and paid by credit card. The card was charged but when I got there they asked for a $100 cash deposit because their payment system was down. Had to find an ATM for the cash. When I got back another customer was arguing with the receptionist and refusing to pay the cash deposit for the room he had been charged for. He asked for a refund since they wouldn’t give him a room. They refused because they have a non-refundable policy. Went out to find food. They were still arguing 15 minutes later when I returned. Finally got to check in but that system was down too. Waited 5 minutes for the reboot but that didn’t work. Went out again to do some shopping and finally got to check in when I returned. Rafael, dear dueño, there are comments since 2021 that you have computer problems. No more apologies - just fix it! There used to be a paper based credit card charge which made an imprint of the credit card. If this still exists use it as a backup for your iffy electronic system. Also, you had my credit card info if you needed to charge it for room damage so why a cash deposit? Walked into a totally dark room, flipped a light switch and nothing happened. The desk clerk had mentioned using the door card key to turn on the electricity. Had to use my phone flashlight to find the slot for my card key. Seems a silly idea to me but maybe it saves the hotel power costs. At least have one light, or a lighted card reader so customers can find it. Small room, about 9’ x 10’ with ‘tasteful’, ‘creative’ decor but little consideration of convenience or comfort. Bathroom to one side. Seven different switches for ‘tasteful’ lighting. One small bedside drawer and a wardrobe with 2 shelves for storage. No suitcase rack, no refrigerator. Keurig type coffeemaker. Tiny counter space in bathroom. Definately wouldn’t be enough for my wife. Low shelf under sink. Wonky toilet roll holders so paper literally falls off the roll. Strange shower control which took some strength to turn on. The shower had plenty of water but in a thin stream and the water was a bit too cool for me. The shower dribbled for ages when I turned it off. Obviously the previous occupant thought the dribbling meant it needed turning off harder. There was a good selection of food for breakfast but it (and the coffee) was lukewarm at 7:30 on cold plates. Plastic cutlery. Cut into an orange with one of their disposable plastic knives. It left a dark stain in the cut. The knife had a sticky deposit on it - yuck! Maybe they recycle the plastic cutlery. Rafael, dueño, maybe you should try staying at your own hotel for a week or so to figure out how to make your ‘boutique’ hotel hospitable for your guests. That’s more important than a ‘boutique’ image. You might even be able to fill the hotel at higher room prices if you made it more comfortable/ convenient to stay there.

Stayed here 2 nights, nice, clean, very handy for the H Street station and a very nice, cheap breakfast if desired. The rooms were very modern and comfortable. The glass door on the bathroom was a bit strange tho and although it had a partial curtain on the inside it wasn't perhaps the best of ideas. Would definitely go back and highly recommend this place.

I’ve stayed at the Hercor twice with my wife and I don’t see myself staying anywhere else in Chula Vista. Great price and extremely nice rooms. The rooms scent is amazing! The bathroom is beautiful and the lighting is great for getting ready. 10/10 for the Hercor I will definitely be back here next week!

This “hotel” is more like a motel and has a lot of homeless people in the area and doesn’t feel safe at night! The manager is a scammer. If you accidentally book anything with them they’ll say it’s a non refundable room and they don’t care if you have an emergency or not! You all can definitely find a better, safer place to book a room.
