I came to the famous - and beautiful- Hotel del Coronado for a business meeting, but my luggage got lost. When it hadn't been found by the evening, I asked at the front desk how to get to somewhere relatively inexpensive to get provisions. Dante at the front desk not only knew the area well enough to provide excellent recommendations,...

The spot is ideal the service level didn't come close to the prices. Lots of servers disappearing and not helping. It took a good 20 mins. to get our cocktails. We paid $16 for a so-so glass of wine and it was served in a plastic cocktail glass! First time for everything, I guess.

Stayed here several times for conferences. Never liked it. Rooms are shabby, small, and in many cases deformed. My room, hallways and stairwells are off kilter, so doors don't fit right, leaving big gaps to the outside. When you're near the courtyard that plays loud mariachi parties, you can hear every obnoxious sound. It feels like you're in a fun...

Stayed here for 1 night during spring break. Loved the experience...but agreed with some reviews about the hotel needing a "freshening". It is a pricey night...I think all in, parking resort fee and room it was close to $400 for a Sunday night (during spring break). The employees are super nice, the location can't be beat. We had a resort...

Massive, wooden, historic structure located on the beach. Has a grand persona. Grounds are lush with palm trees and large landscaping. Patio seating with great view of ocean. Pricey all the way around but nice nostalgia. Worth a visit just to see. Didn't spend the night just sightseeing in the area and is on the must see list. Lots of...

EVERYONE DESERVES TO SPOIL THEMSELVES & THIS IS THE PLACE TO DO IT.... I cannot describe what perfect hospitality is, but this defines it! It's expensive, prepare yourself for it, but sometimes you have to pay rack.. It's the equivalent of every kid needing to go to Disneyworld. Well Every Adult NEEDS to make this trip. The beach is stunning,...

Beautiful old (1890) hotel in a fabulous location on the beach. Lobby, public rooms and patios/decks are amazing with great views, especially at sunset, and many photo displays of films featuring the Hotel (Some Like it Hot, The Stunt Man, others). The lobby is grand and beautiful. Bar with patio has pricey drinks, but calamari appetizer was reasonable and more...

This was supposed to be the cherry on top at the end of 10 day trip to southern Cal... it was so not! Super disappointing after the Hotel Bel Air in LA. I'd say this is it's trampy "long in the tooth" step sister. Think one of those behemoth old grand dames on the boardwalk in Atlantic City. Same price...

We did not stay at the hotel but went for the day just to see it. The hotel is amazing and has an excellent view of the Pacific Ocean and the Cabrillo National Monument and Point Loma Lighthouse in the distance. The beach was clean and the shops were fun to poke through. We stopped at their candy shop and...
