Took our bikes over on the ferry to Coronado Island and made a quick stop here. Interesting to see the historical hotel. The lobby is very dark. I guess so many people just come in to take a peek that you can just walk around and explore. The beach is public and huge so if you wanted to spend the...

Business trip to Coronado that I was able to bring my wife to. This was first time staying at the "Del". It is an iconic hotel. Lots of history and movies made there. Its impressive from the outside but even better inside. The lobby and main building have character that you'll see in very few places. This place is a...

Great hotel: pricey, but beautiful. We've stayed there before and always go back. Since it's on the island (actually it's an isthmus) you'll need to cab or Uber to San Diego proper (5 minutes). The Grand Floridian in Disney World was modeled after this hotel, but of course it's old and not in the tip top perfect condition of the...

We wanted to have a drink and watch the sun set. Here is the perfect patio...Oh i'm sorry sir this is for the exclusive use of the village bungalow registered guests. Ok so where can we sit and have a drink, oh our patio is closed as they are installing furniture. Ok so we can have a drink in the...

I was in San Diego for a business meeting and instead of staying the the heart of San Diego chose to stay on the island of Coronado at the suggestion of a friend at the Del. I could not have been more pleased. The services was top notch and the concierge went above and beyond helping me get fresh fish...

I came to the famous - and beautiful- Hotel del Coronado for a business meeting, but my luggage got lost. When it hadn't been found by the evening, I asked at the front desk how to get to somewhere relatively inexpensive to get provisions. Dante at the front desk not only knew the area well enough to provide excellent recommendations,...

Stayed here several times for conferences. Never liked it. Rooms are shabby, small, and in many cases deformed. My room, hallways and stairwells are off kilter, so doors don't fit right, leaving big gaps to the outside. When you're near the courtyard that plays loud mariachi parties, you can hear every obnoxious sound. It feels like you're in a fun...

Stayed here for 1 night during spring break. Loved the experience...but agreed with some reviews about the hotel needing a "freshening". It is a pricey night...I think all in, parking resort fee and room it was close to $400 for a Sunday night (during spring break). The employees are super nice, the location can't be beat. We had a resort...

Massive, wooden, historic structure located on the beach. Has a grand persona. Grounds are lush with palm trees and large landscaping. Patio seating with great view of ocean.
