Loved this adorable little hotel. We had an upstairs room with a view of the ocean. My fiancé and I are still talking about the hotel and the AMAZINGLY comfortable bed! It was like sleeping on a cloud....seriously. The people in the front were so nice and accommodating even letting us check out late without charging us. The location was...

This 12 room non-chain hotel is a faded beauty. You can see that each room, named for a celebrity of some sort (ours was the O'Keefe Room) is unique and was done with particular care, from the tile to the painted walls, and the art work. At this stage, however, it is a bit run down and in need of...

If you want to be in a comfortable hotel with charm - something different that you haven't experienced before - this is the place. The hostess is lovely and helpful. There are a few restaurants within the block, and a number more just a walk down the street in the main Del Mar area, as well as the beach. If...

Have your own patio. Plus common area with outdoor fireplace. They make you coffee in the morning and have a shared food fridge. Very comfy. Unique adobe decor. Draw back is no ocean view, but price makes up for that. Very walkable to Del Mar central and beach. Very drivable to biotech and tech hubs of Torrey Pines and UTC.

You will want to tour the rooms if you can- Each has a theme - Yes you guessed it. Aritst theme. I can say that you will not be disappointed in this location. Very eccentric and very quiet. There are several rooms decorated loosely to evoke artistic themes, a few with glimpses of an ocean view.”

Les Artistes is a one-of-a-kind experience. The building and common areas have been lovingly created by the owners. An aesthetic feast, every corner is a work of art, mosaics run wild, statuary, plants, ironwork. I have stayed in the Van Gogh and Gauguin rooms; well-priced relative to what else is available in Del Mar, and nicely appointed. The whole property...

I regularly book rooms for people, and as long as the person has their name on the itinerary, it is never a problem for him/her to stay at the hotel even though it was not their own credit card that booked it. I would say that is pretty common business practice in this century, booking rooms for people. A few...

The Les Artistes Inn combines all the best of a Bed and Breakfast and Hotel. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, the views are remarkable, the location is quiet and peaceful. I booked late and did not get an upper story ocean view, but my main floor room balcony opened up onto a lovely aquatic garden and I left the...

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful romantic vacation in Del Mar at the Les Artistes Inn. Each room is named after a different artist. We stayed in the De Lempicka themed room. We had a large private terrace with a view of the ocean. The room was very cosy and the staff was very friendly. The hotel is also...

We stayed here and the service and room are good, but you feel marooned in a back lot with no view. The area is a bit charcterless and you feel just on the edge of everything that might be exciting about this place but you cant find its genius loci.
