My wife and I have been staying here on MT Shasta vacations for DECADES! It's a GREAT deal, because the prices are very low BUT the choices are varierd. We stay in the refurbished motels rooms, with air conditioning and TV, but there are CHOICES. You could stay in the RUSTIC camping cabins, which are nice and very low cost....

A great place to stop on hwy 5 for a night or a week. Economical. The old timey small cabins with cooking kitchen hang over the upper Sacramento River. In a forested setting and short trail to a pretty botanical garden with beautiful river access. There's a view to the north right at mt Shasta. Mostly, you hear the river,...

Cave Springs is an absolute gem– plain and simple. There's something sweet about the simple life of Siskiyou County and Louie and his gang hit the nail on the head every time. My family's been staying with Louie for over thirty years for this very reason! The location is beyond perfect. You're near basic necccesities–a small grocery store, a hardware...

We were on a road trip with my father-in-law who is in a wheel chair. This was the last night of our trip and he had stayed here back in the 60's, and much of the place still has that same look and feel. There are still the old cabins overlooking the river. We checked in and asked if any...

Returned again to this charming friendly place in Dunsmuir. Thank you Sylvia for making us feel welcome. Room was comfortable and clean and our dog absolutely loves the walking opportunities that abound. We will return again and again to capture the charm of bygone years.

I have been making an annual trip to cave springs for about 5 years now and can't imagine a more welcoming place. This is not a high end city hotel ( this is not your place if you need high end features), but the best old school resort for families and outdoor adventurers. The place is family owned and they...

We've stayed at Cave Springs Resort several times over the years and it never disappoints. The hotel rooms are very spacious, have cable tv, wifi and a small fridge and microwave. The cabins are smaller and cozier and they feel like a camping cabin from the 1950's. In the cabins they provide everything you need including dishes, pots and pans...

Cave Springs Resort is unique on many levels. If you are expecting a "resort" resort, you will be disappointed. If you can hang with rustic, funky and run-down chic, then this is your place! We first visited a few years ago and were a bit taken aback by the ramshackle nature of the cabins, which we've now come to love....

If you're expecting modern, don't... but the old school feel is part of the charm in my opinion. The Dewey's who run the place are the nicest people and will make you feel at home. The property is beautiful, especially the center park area. Close to downtown, walking distance from the trailhead of Hedge Creek Falls, beautiful views of the...
