The room was comfortable, with the window open you can see & hear the Merced River. They have an indoor & outdoor pool, restaurant, bar, souvenir shop, and about 10 minutes away from Yosemite.

Hotel was close to Yosemite park, but the thing that ruined our stay was that we found bed bugs in the room. Blood traces on the sheets and in the bathroom, and a bad smell in the room. We stayed during Veterans Day weekend.

Decided to stay here for 2 nights rather than at the more expensive and slightly closer yosemite view lodge. I would recommend this hotel. Yes it is 5 miles further away, from Yosemite, but I found the hotel staff obliging, helpful and professional. the room was up some steps, (no lift), managed to park right outside, and the room was...

Stayed at Cedar lodge for 3 nights recently while visiting Yosemite. It's an average place with no-frills rooms, but clean and safe, the hotel also has a reasonably priced diner on site(ps give the cheeesecake a miss). It's just 20mins to the park entrance and there are very few other options as close as this if you don't want to...

We stayed at the Cedar lodge for 3 nights during October. It is conveniently located within a 10 minute drive to the Yosemite park entrance. The price was good and the room was a nice size. We even had our own Jacuzzi tub. We dined at the local restaurant for the first night, but found the restaurant at the Yosemite...

Great option for visiting Yosemite, especially if Yosemite Lodge is full. Half hour pleasant drive to valley. Only negative was front desk staff who seemed very bored and poorly trained. Nametags and an occasional smile would improve their customer service! Be sure to look over your bill at check out -- ours was incorrect.

I stayed here on the 31st October 2011 as part of a two day trip to Yosemite. The room was clean and a decent size and there was even a fridge, which was a pleasant bonus. There was a TV with a few TV channels, though the reception on some wasn't great. The pool was adequate, if a bit small...

With trepidation I read previous reviews, but we stayed two nights to visit Yosemite and it was fine. It's a simple motel style hotel. Admittedly not that close to the main attractions of the park, but if you can't stay in the (expensive) park accommodation this is a good choice. The young receptionist on check-in was a bit mono-syllabic, but...

We stayed at the Cedar Lodge Resort in El Portal due to the excellent location - we had planned to visit Yosemite National Park every day of our stay. Our room was located towards the back of the complex and at the end of the row, next to the rental house. (sorry I could not remember the room number!) Our...

Having read some of the reviews we were a little concerned that we would be stuck in the uncharted wilderness with no were to get a meal or in fact any service. The hotel was exactly what it said on the tin, a few miles from Yosemite but who would want to miss El Portal, situated along side the river...
