Don't let the title of this review fool you - the owners of this bed and breakfast are 100% American, and the landscape Blue Butterfly is in is unmistakably Yosemite. On the veranda you look out over the Merced, and turning your gaze up you'll see the hallmark granite. My experience of this place is that it's an oasis of...

My wife and I stayed here October 2011 as part of a two week tour of California. I was weary on arrival but soon warmed to the lovely hosts Ron and Liz. The building is purpose built and in a stunning location overlooking the river to the rear. We had a fresh and varied breakfast cooked for us each morning...

We stayed here back in September 2011 for 3 nights and it made our tour - Ron and Liz are great hosts. Loved the chat's with Ron about all things Porsche and BMW on the porch with a beer. Lovely breakfasts, surrounded by humming birds and beautiful scenery. Great advice regarding walks, things to see and places to visit. Liz...

My husband and I stayed here in November of 2011. We had never done a B&B before but thought we'd give it a try. First of all, Liz and Ron are a hoot! Liz always had some little goodies ready for you to eat and both gave great advise for our hikes to Yosemite. Turns out, Ron was a rescue...

We arrived at the blue butterfly inn We arrived in late august in the midst of a wildfire in a neighboring community. Although all power was off and a neighboring restaurant served dinner prepared on a grill to the evacuees and other guests, Ron and Liz were calm and imparted that feeling to their guests. They offered emergency dinner if we...

We stayed in Blue Butterfly for four nights in Summer 2011, and would happily say that it's the best B&B we've ever stayed in. Liz and Ron are lovely hosts and in addition to being made to feel very welcome they also offered very useful advice on what to see and where to go. Initially we were a little concerned...

We stayed here for two nights in the Meadow Lily room with a deck & view of the Merced River. Room was very large & extremely comfortable. Ron & Liz were very helpful & pleasant hosts. Nothing was too much trouble and they were of course really knowledgeable on Yosemite & the surrounding area. We had a power cut the...

We stayed three nights with Ron and LIz at their B&B, in two different rooms - the Meadow Lilly and the Glasgow Rose. There are so many good points to staying here; it's only one mile from the entrance of Yosemite making it quick and easy to get into the park; the majority of the rooms are huge in size...

We stayed at The Blue Butterfly whilst on honeymoon in Yosemite for a few days and will certainly be back and for longer next time. Liz & Ron were fantastic hosts and made us feel very welcome- it was more than a B&B, it felt more like a home from home. Liz had some great recommendations for routes to take...

A bit difficult to find (behind a large motel complex) but worth searching for. Superb location right on the Merced River, lulls you to sleep at night. Rooms beautifully furnished with antiques. Super breakfasts, something different every day. Liz & Ron make you feel right at home. Probably the best B & B we have ever stayed at, certainly the...
