We were a little apprehensive staying here after reading some of the reviews and we generally stay at chains so didn't know what to expect. This is a historic property dating back to the 1920's located right on the 101. The woman that checked us in was very friendly. I assumed we'd have a room facing the little courtyard you...

As the daughter of an independent hotel chain owner, I always try to seek out these kinds of hotels before going to a popular branded chain. Over the years my dad taught me to do such a thing because usually these are the best places to stay. Not so here! It looks cute and charming from the outside, which is...

Ignorant, rude staff. Housekeeping came way too early and didn't come back to change sheets or replace towels.Noisy for sleeping. Room was booked incorrectly , was left sleeping on an incomfortable, creaky roll away bed. They charged too much initially and didnt refund our card until the day we left.

This is a small charming inn. Adequate parking for each room, they allow one parking spot per room, but there are ample street parking. It is next to the train tracks, which isn't an issue in the daytime, but in the evening it is noticeable; especially if you're a light sleeper. I would suggest to request the rooms in the...

We arrived late due to some traffic deviations. Even if the reception opening hours were over, they waited for us to make sure we are ok (self services are possible outside their working hours). The rooms are clean and decent. There is a small kitchen available too. Location is good, on a main road (is not a beach motel) and...

This is a very cute place originally built around 1920 but highly renovated. The room we stayed in was in the annex next door since we had 2 queen beds in our room plus a kitchenette, made me wonder ifit was an old apartmet building, but I digress. The decor was bright and lively as was the paint in the...

For the rate, this is a nice, small, boutique, hotel. I really appreciate the non - chain hotel feel and that it has many amenities that I look for - including a kitchnette. I also like that it has bistro tables outside to drink coffee, etc. It is easy to find, and clean. Says that it is dog-friendly, which I...

I wasn't sure what to expect prior to my arrival. We got great discounted rates for a group stay (total of 4 rooms) for my brothers wedding. Because we got such low rates, I was bit scared that it was too good to be true...but it wasn't it! The pictures don't do it justice...such a cute courtyard! The rooms are...

My daughter, who lives close by, recommended I try this unique inn for my visit earlier in May. I stayed in two different rooms, and found the inn's staff to be very accommodating and concerned that you have a good experience. Please remember this is an old-style California inn ... Nothing fancy, but comfortable. There is road noise from Coast...

The Leucadia Beach Inn is a lovely little spot that I stumbled upon while preparing for a trip to San Diego. It is located within easy walking distance of a great local beach (not very crowded, at least when we were there) as well as a fair number of local restaurants. If you happen to hit the little donut place...
