2 night stay here on our road trip to San Fransisco. Very reasonably priced compared to other places on our trip. Nice spacious room and a big bathroom (some noise from the kitchen fan until 9 but not on again til following evening, warned at check in). Comfortable stay. The bar and restaurant are excellent, ate here both nights. Amazing...

This place has only four rooms, and they're only open Thursday through Sunday, but our room was great. We had a great stay. Our room had balcony access, and that was wonderful for a pre-dinner cocktail and morning coffee overlooking Main Street.

Four for dinner, my first time here, been hearing about this place for a long time. So sorry I didn't try this place sooner. Old vintage hotel experience great food and an eager staff to please you. We had steaks and Ravioli dinners, they were perfect! Call for reservations it's hard to get in, but worth the wait. Joe Clark

We stayed here one night and it was great. This is a lively old west hotel which is the place to go of a night time, but all finished by 10pm. They're are only four rooms upstairs and they are lovely Victorian rooms with claw foot baths, comfortable beds and very quiet. I would definitely recommend the Ivanhoe and would...

We stayed 3 nights. The first night we had dinner in their restaurant and it was EXCELLENT! The mattress in our room was a bit hard, but we slept comfortably. It was quiet, well decorated, provided all we needed for our coastal vacation, and we LOVE Ferndale! We were within walking distance to cover the whole cute downtown and enjoyed...

After reading all the reviews about this place, we purposely rerouted our North Coast trip to arrive at the Hotel Ivanhoe on Wednesday (they're closed Mon & Tues). Although not as impressive on the outside as some of the other Ferndale Inns, the Ivanhoe lived up to its reputation in every other way. The restoration and decor was impressive. We...

This was like stepping back in time once you enter the lobby. This hotel is very much in touch with it's past but it's not outdated. Barb is a great host and made us feel welcome from the beginning. The Brice Room is a bit small as to be expected in many older hotels but very comfortable. Great bed and...

After a horrendous trip over rte #36 from Red Bluff, CA to Ferndale, CA, we managed to get a gal on our cell who said she had a room available (this was around 9PM.) When we arrived there, we were shown a lovely room done in Victorian style with all the amenities, even including a coffee pot and 2 biscotti....

We travelled from Seattle to San Fran via HWY 101 and stayed in some nice places but our visit to Ferndale and our stay at the Hotel Ivanhoe was without doubt the best night of our whole trip. The town is so pretty and remains practically untouched especially Hotel Ivanhoe and its Saloon. It amazing, like stepping back in time...

This painstakingly restored and delightful Historic venue is perfectly situated in the center of all the action in the Victorian Village of Ferndale. Dave and Barb, the proprietors, infinitely enhance the experience with genuine warmth and unpretentious hospitality. The location adjacent to the restaurants, inviting watering holes and quaint shops is ideal. There are many choices as to where to...
