It was three of us on a four-day weekend up north to visit my parents who live in Ferndale. I'll allergic to their dog, so I asked them for a recommendation. Who knows better than someone that lives there? Without hesitation, they told me to book the Victorian Inn right in the center of a village that looks like it...

Pros: A wonderful piece of history in a lovely little victorian town; beautiful pieces of antique furniture; quiet and restful; yummy restaurant on site; super friendly staff and owners. Cons: The rooms just seemed worn, such as the paint on the trim, the bedding and some older chipped up wicker furniture. The website pictures of the Inn show the rooms...

The room was clean, pleasant and wonderful. Loved the high ceiling and fireplace in the room. Ferndale, CA is a charming place with lots of interesting shops. Only comment is there’s no elevator, only a large and long staircase to carry your bags up to the room. A bit of a hike.

My hubby and I were on an adventure riding the Harley down the coast from Washington state. We got caught in a storm and stayed a second night in Oregon- which caused us to have to try and juggle our reservations for the remainder of our trip. We had reservations at a different establishment- but couldn't seem to connect with...

We stayed in the Victorian Inn in Ferndale for 2 nights, one night would have been better for us. Not that the building was bad or the service poor, but because the room we stayed in was small, it had very loud piped Frank Sinatra type music on the big stairs and in the dark upstairs sitting room (no windows)....

A charming old inn with the owner's fabulous jewelry store downstairs. The atmosphere is relaxed and combination of gentile nineteenth century come 21st century with flat-screen tvs mixed in with the Victorian and classic style furniture. Reminiscent of a turn-of-the last century small town hotel. Generous sized bathrooms with authentic fittings and kept in good shape. Our room had a...

Ferndale is a beautiful town full of historic homes and the Victorian Inn is one of these. Our room had charming period details but also all modern conveniences. It was spotless and fresh smelling - not so easy to achieve in an older building. We had a very good dinner at the restaurant and the prices were good. Breakfast the...

3 of us stayed at the Victorian Inn on our motorcycle journey from Red Bluff on beautiful but challenging route 36. We got a friendly greeting and had a very good meal at the restaurant. Our room with its 13 ft plus ceilings was wonderfully appointed and was a great change from the modern hotels we stay at. The town...

We recently stayed for 3 nights at the Victorian Inn as a base to explore Northern California, and in particular the Redwood Forests of the area. Our stay was fine, but I would have to say that I would not go back or particularly recommend the inn to friends. The website makes it look and sound much more elegant and...
