Stayed here for one night. Good location, clean room with big bathroom. The staff is friendly and always helping us with good info. Simple room set up and I'm happy with the price offer . They had a lobby with a lot sofas for you to relax. My advise is, if you want to stay here please bring you own extension wire because not many plug in the room.
If ever there was a mis description of a hotel then this is it. Yes the location is ideal before travelling to Langkawi and yes it is fairly cheap but no it is not immaculate, the reception staff was bland and no smile, the room is basic and full of ants, not clean, towels are threadbare, Internet is very slow, tv keeps going to a blank screen, floor to entrance of shower room is stuck down with tape ..... need I say any more. If we didn’t already have our ferry tickets for the next day we would have checked back out and headed to Langkawi a day early!!!
My family had a pleasant stay here -reasonable price -comfortable bed -easy booking -near the beach -plenty of seafood restaurants nearby -clean -kitchen provided -ensuite bedrooms -parking that can fit 2 cars
So worth your money. Clean & Nice room (Room A11). Near Kuala Perlis Jetty. Maybe about 5 minutes drive. Plenty of 'Ikan Bakar" restaurant at the Jetty. One of reason i choose Dview is because easy to park my car. THotel is a nice hotel too but not easy to get a spot for your car.
I stayed here for 1 night. We arrived quite late but was welcome by an old man who process our check in. Was fast. The room was quite spacious. It has 2 single bed. Honestly it's 6 of us, since we arrived late and just for the sake of sleeping for 1 night we don't have intention to book bigger room. Room was clean and neat and same goes to the toilet. Price is value for money with what they have. Only to comment few things for improvement. The single bed was noisy and I can say it was low grade mattress. But what can I say with the price offered. Nothing to complaint but just a feedback. The water heater does not work well. So when we arrived in Perlis was rainy and windy and shower in a cold water was not something that we are looking forward. Perhaps that's need to be fix. The lady in receptionist, please smile a bit. Guest wants to be welcome and warm. There's nothing wrong if you smile. But at the end she smile after I chat and be friendly with her. That's all. Was a good hotel just a little bit need to be improve from the guest perspective. …
We would like to tip on for some improvement needed to the hotel room especially relating to the toilet and washroom. Car park to be extended to occupy more customer. Else would be okay. Hope to have many more preference on where to go, what to eat, intereting places to visit, etc.
Booked two rooms at this hotel before our trip to Langkawi the next day. The rooms were clean and proper. Checking in didn't take too long. Only one female staff was on duty at the time we checked-in, which was quite late i.e. around 9pm. The next day we wanted to print something and needed a printer. The front office was very helpful to accommodate us; no question asked. With the price that we paid, we think the rates are reasonable.
Rather unexpectedly, this hotel appears to be part of a typical Malaysian housing estate. The lobby however, looks more in line what one may expect of a hotel. Pros: Clean comfortable room with usual amenities like kettle and complimentary beverages and bottled water. Hair dryer available on request Ample self-parking for drive-in guests No lifts, but max 2 floors up Quiet neighborhood Decent wifi speed Cons: Typical Malaysian homestay atmosphere with plastic flowers everywhere in the room!! Room furnishing not quite as nice as depicted in pictures Cash deposit required upon checkin Not walking distance to K.Perlis town or ferry terminal for Langkawi No beach front; in fact not even near the sea Car access to/fro town can be annoying, requiring U-turns, depending where one is coming from For some, large power transmission lines at back of hotel may be a deterrent…
Really nice big clean room with good aircon and a comfortable bed, powerful shower. Water cooler with free drinking water available downstairs (but no fridge in room). Wifi wasn't great. Paid 80 RM walk-in price for a queen room (cheaper than advertised online). Try the restaurant at the end of the drive way on the left! Good cheap local food and fresh seafood cooked to order. Overall perfect place for dinner and a stopover before getting the ferry
Our family of 8 + 3 young children rented one of the homestay semi-detached houses for our recent Raya trip, and we weren't disappointed. The house was incredibly spacious: queen-sized beds in all 4 rooms, 3 baths with hot water pumps, large kitchen and spacious living room with ample space for the kids to run around and play in. The furnishing was relatively new and clean. Some reviewers complained about the hard mattresses, and they were indeed very firm, but this feature was a plus point for me as overly soft mattresses acerbate my back problems. There could have been more pillows though, at least 2 per person. The pillows provided were too hard and one per sleeper was definitely insufficient. Bring your own, if you can. 8 towels and 8 mini bars of soap were provided, 2 per room, but no other toiletries were given, so come prepared. Wifi is free with decent service, and our house had a flat-screen TV with ASTRO attached. Plug points, however, were an issue, as they were rather inconveniently located, mostly high up on the walls next to the light switches. The kitchen was equipped with a large fridge, a microwave, hot water kettle and melamine plates + cutlery for 4-6 people. Not quite sufficient, but everything was clean & well-maintained. There was also an iron, ironing board + broom & mop provided. Service could be better improved though. Check-in time was strictly kept to 2pm, almost arbitrarily. We had arrived at 11am and told to come back later, and coming back later at 1.40pm, we were still refused check-in, even though we were informed the house was ready and had already been cleaned. We had to have a ridiculous "talk" with the manager, who finally relented and "allowed" us to check in 10 minutes early. We thought this was quite ridiculous. All in all though, we were very pleased with our lodgings and would definitely consider booking D'View again for future large-family trips to Perlis.…
