this was our first visit to Benbow . Greeted with a genuine warmth from all the front desk people, giving a feeling of familiarity Upon entering our room we both just stood there and looked in in awe....how lovely...beautifully appointed .spacious room with a lovely garden patio to relax and overlook the lawn area. Very inviting and a nice place...

This is an older inn on the Eel river that is in the process of a remodel. It is a very comfortable and charming step back in time. We had a very pleasant time and the outdoor patio is a charming place to each a refined dinner and meet people from all over. We will definitely stay again. If you...

I love this old hotel! It is a magnificent historic structure that immediately transports you back to a bygone era. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Dinner was amazing, and our waitress, Skye, was awesome...friendly and helpful. The hotel is undergoing some construction, but this was not a problem. I wanted to give this hotel 5 stars, but I...

Beautiful old hotel full of interesting knick knacks & furniture. Lovely patio with live music & fire pits in the evening. Our room was comfortable with a view over the patio to the river. No tv but a Keurig machine was welcome as was the complimentary carafe of sherry! Breakfast on the warm & sunny patio was delightful with a...

They have you captive when your husband's car club books their event here. Luckily we did not sign up for the food package as I understand it was sub par. The rooms are very small and "historic"... And so were the beds. Beautiful setting for driving through the redwoods and visiting NorCal.

I'm sorry that you felt that you were held captive. Sounds like someone else was making the choices for your group. We do have several room types, however, in a situation like this the group books a block of rooms and they make the decisions. We would love to have you stop by again when you are in the area,...

Wife and I stay here every year when we visit my dad who lives nearby and it's a really great old inn like out of the shining except not haunted. Everyone is super helpful and nice... It's definitely a little rustic but a great experience. Highly recommend.

I enjoyed my stay. I had a queen room on the 3rd floor with a bay window. I could see the river and the patio. In the evening I could hear the live music. The temperature was perfect. I loved the old furniture with the upgraded mattress. My room didn't have a TV but I was ok with that. If...

We loved our stay here for two nights, in the area to drive the AOTG and see the amazing redwoods. It is old and historic, but well-maintained and very comfortable. Service at the front desk was spot on. We like light meals, so both nights ate in the bar and made a meal of appetizers. The cheese plate was fabulous....

This Inn is under renovation and beware that you currently have to lug your bags up and down the stairs yourself. Once you are in the Inn (so to speak) the interior is charming and while you do have to lug your bags up another flight of stairs or two, my room was well furnished, clean and comfortable. The AC...

We were attracted by this hotel's history and promise of excellent cuisine. We booked for 2 nights at the end of our Seattle to San Francisco road trip, the most expensive place we stayed, but were very disappointed. The ongoing building renovations were not an issue, but the casual service and poor quality food were. We had to wait over...
