IWR is nice and clean but the rooms are very dated. It is near several golf courses and beautiful views of the mountains. If you're looking for the Marriott/Hyatt/Westin experience, this is not that place. Long story short, I would not stay here again.
The original version of this property was owned by Desi Arnaz of I Love Lucy Fame so it has quite a history, but it has been totally updated architecturally. Located in Indian Wells on the 11th hole of the Indian Wells Golf Club, the inside...More

We have stayed here twice. The pool isn't awful at all. But, during the hot summer months, the water temperature can get a bit warm. The rooms do come with mini refrigerators. Just remember to plug the fridge in when you arrive. This is a nice hotel, with clean, updated rooms. We have no reservations about recommending this hotel.

Not really. But Palm Springs is only about a 15 minute drive. If they would like a spa day I would definitely suggest the spa at the Miramonte Indian Wells Resort and Spa. It has mineral pool, and waterfall seating area in secluded spot, balcony to sit and read out of sun, can order food, can use hot tub and pools of the hotel as well. A day pass is $30 or all is included with a treatment.
