Polite front desk staff, room was fine. Hotel smelled like marijuana several times. Was told I was getting a non-smoking room yet there was an ashtray and multiple burn marks on the bedding. No Kleenex or toiletries in the room. The vending machines didn't work...More
We stayed one-night last minute booking, as we were transiting to Australia and we did not wanted to stayed at the Airport.
Latinamerican staff were friendly and helpful, other reception staff not so much!
room was ok, not much noise.
I don't know who in their right mind would give this motel a 3 stars rating. NOT ME. The 1 star is for the staff. The person at the counter was great. It's not their fault they have to work there.
The first thing we...More

The Motel 6 LAX was much better than I anticipated. I've stayed at several throughout the U.S. and this was one of the better ones. Rooms are simple but have been updated and are equipped with a comfortable bed and nice TV. The hotel area...More
I needed to stay one night by the airport just to sleep. It was typical Motel 6. Very basic room and had free parking. Price was around $100 while the other chains were around $140. Very little lighting in the parking lot and no shampoo...More

Adding to my response above, judging from Google Street View, they'll pick you up on the lower level (all pick-ups are lower level) towards the end of the loop (across from P4 parking in Street View). If you follow the road on Google Street View and look behind you, you can see the Motel 6 shuttle pull out behind the camera. As of December 2017, the shuttles still look the same, with the same Motel 6 logo on the front and sides.
By the way, traffic at the airport is a big pain, and the shuttles move fast out of necessity. My shuttle to my rental car company was flying past stops. If you book here, you may want to call or email with your itinerary, so they know to wait a little longer for you.

We got dinner a little way up the road at Chilis, but there are lots of restaurants along there ... it is a very long road though! So may want to get an uber up there!! I think the same would go for breakfast, but we skipped that.
We had an issue with luggage as the hotel wouldn’t keep it but we found a place, laxluggagestorage who held our luggage for us & then you call them once you are at the airport & they drop it off to you.
I can’t remember exactly what we paid but prices are on that site.
I hope this helps :)
