The staff are extremely unprofessional, I booked through a travel site (and paid) which said room type hotel chooses— The guests were 2 adults and 2 children and every other hotel has always given a room with two beds. The woman forced us to pay $25 extra which made it higher than the rate had I paid there. They have no computer so if you extend your stay they are not aware. When I informed the lady I had done it through the site she acted crazy was very rude and said we had to get out now. When I went down to speak with the owner and to inform him of the way we were treated he then flips out screaming get out get out you cannot stay. The most unprofessional uncomfortable experience I’ve had and i am in hotels 9 months a year. On top of it all the rooms were not even cleaned well. I will post a photo of the toilet how it looked when we arrived — don’t think they are cleaning the most bacteria filled area well and that is disgusting. Also the lady allows her dog to just run out no leash no consideration for guests and the dog growled at my 5 year old. I believe she lives there and does not really know how to do her job. Also when leaving a man in the parking lot said to be careful leaving things in your rooms because the cleaning staff (also lady at desk and others) have been known to take things It’s unfortunate as it is a cute motel and a good spot hopefully it is sold someday as it could be a great hotel . I would rather sleep in a car than stay here Photo is behind the toilet and wall

The management was very friendly. Room could have been cleaner. Found 3 hairs on bathroom floor and top ramen noodles on the counter. Bed was hard but comfy. Pillows are as flat as pancakes. Nice that they have microwave and mini fridge in rooms but coffee maker or coffee cups. Had to way to make instant coffee of a cup of tea. Had to walk through town to find some place open to but some coffee/tea. Great location and nice big parking lot. Super cute mascot pup! Oh I forgot room 19 the toilet runs all night long. And the blow dryer only works for a few minutes then shuts off.

On a two thousand mile motorcycle ride you end up staying in some interesting places. Finding this place was a huge bonus! The rooms are nothing special, even a bit dated but they are extremely clean and very comfy. We were a little disappointed that there wasn’t any coffee in the rooms but were rewarded by the owner, Andrea, who made us a pot of very good coffee accompanied with half and half and sweetener. Did I mention outstanding service? We are all cigar smokers and Andrea also brought us comfy chairs so we could enjoy our morning smoke out in front of our rooms, just another very thoughtful touch. It is such a treat to find great, old-fashion service with hosts willing to above and beyond to make us comfortable. We ride through every couple of years and will most definitely return to the Railtown Motel! Thank you again!

Slightly dated, but pretty clean, would definitely come back again if I'm in the area, the town is amazing, tiny, but the most gorgeous place I ever seen! The motel is just off the main road, not great signs from the mai road but jsut drive slowly and look up the roads and you see the big sign for the motel. Great place

This is an older motel ,as are all in Jamestown, that has been well maintained. The owners are on site and very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are comfortable, but do not appear to have been updated recently. Our room had a jetted tub that there was an extra fee to use along with the standard tub shower combo. The shower head was only about 5' high as it appears they wanted to keep it within the shower surround. We stayed two nights with our dogs and enjoyed the location and quiet atmosphere.
