I recently had the opportunity to stay at Garske Manor which is a privately owned vacation home booked through the inn. What a wonderful place to stay. It's pretty much a dream home. It's close to the Park entrance in Yucca Valley, downtown Joshua Tree, downtown antiquing/thrift store shopping in Yucca Valley, and close to Pioneer town and the world...

The lobby and public rooms are absolutely charming with posters and memorabilia of Gram Parsons, the country rock innovator who died here in 1973. There's a small shrine near that particular room. Deep bowers of wisteria grow up around the covered walkways. There's also a fish pond and an outdoor fire place in the middle of a side yard bedecked...

Great location for Joshua Tree National Park. The history of the Inn is based on the sad demise of Gram Parsons American Folk singer. There is shrine within the gardens. Overpriced considering the general need for renovation and updating. Bed was hard and not comfortable, but overall we enjoyed the atmosphere, friendliness and the locality.

We've stayed in both the Hacienda Pines and Fox room. Each visit has carried blessed memories. A beautiful place to quietly meditate, go for a walk, explore, swim, write, hang out with pals or visit the incredible Joshua Tree Park a mile away. There are also good restaurants, health food stores and antiques on the main highway a few minutes...

If you are a fan of the typical chain hotel, I would suggest you stay elsewhere, but if you are looking for a fun, funky, eclectic inn that really gives you a flavor of the town, this is it. The inn is hacienda style, with a big zen garden courtyard with a fish pond.. It has a nice outdoor pool...

I took my son who is a musician on a trip for his 21st birthday as we are both Flying Burrito Brother and Gram Parsons fans we did book the Gram Parson's room (room 8) for one night and room 4 for the other night. Both rooms were clean and in good shape, the beds in each room were quite...

Found this gem online. I'm not a Best Western kind of gal, and seeing as I make the hotel bookings, neither is he. Yes, from the highway it looks like a forgotten, run down desert stop over. DiDi me us fee welcome with typical California desert charm and got us settled. Loved it right from the get-go. Like I said,...

NOTE:This is a review of The Hacienda Pines an off-site property managed by the Joshua Tree Inn. Please also be aware that on other sites and indeed in the information at the property this rental is also known as The Desert Pines Retreat. It's hard to know where to start with this property. You'd think that at almost $2,400 for...

POSTED TO THE WRONG PROPERTY! However, as the booking agent for Hacienda Pines,we extend our sincere apologies for your dissatisfaction with the design of the artist/owner. Apparently it's a matter of taste,as this property thrives on repeat guests who love the spacious, unique design and beautiful acres of pine trees and serene vistas. We truly wish you had expressed your...

Stayed here in January while visiting the national park. I really, really loved the ambience of the common areas: the warm, cheery dining area ( coffee, tea, and granola bars at breakfast) and the beautiful grounds outside the rooms. Bery enjoyable to sit and watch the desert sky, enjoy the fresh air, chat with fellow guests and the friendly staff....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Joshua Tree Inn, built in 1950, is a Hacienda Style inn conveniently located just six miles from the grandeur of Joshua Tree National Park. The Inn has long been known for the warmth, charm, and comfortable lodging it provides for guests visiting California's extraordinary Mojave Desert. The Inn is laid out in a square horseshoe that provides privacy for all of our guests. All of our eleven rooms are on ground level, facing our desert courtyard and large pool. Our decor is eccentrically eclectic. The Inn is the site of the legendary Gram Parsons Room, where the beloved and respected musician/songwriter spent his last hours. Room 8 still offers a quintessential "Cosmic American Experience" to fans of the father of Alt-country rock. On the peach colored wall hangs the same mirror and picture that hung in the room back in 1973. The Joshua Tree Inn features a large swimming pool, as well as our peaceful zen courtyard & koi pond, plus dining room access & gift shop. We also provide complimentary coffee, tea, & morning snacks for our guests. All of our charming rooms include: Private Patios ... more   less
