My daughter's wedding and reception was held at Pine Hills Lodge in October. Everything was great. I know some reviews are not positive, but the day went fine. The food was great, many folks went for seconds. The staff was friendly and helpful. The owners were friendly. It is a rustic setting, and was perfect.

My family and I traveled to the Pine Hills Lodge several times a year for the yummy bbq and great shows at the dinner theater, rented several cabins, and always enjoyed the Sunday brunch. But what made the lodge truly wonderful was the Goodman family that owned it! Over the course of two decades we enjoyed the warm and family...

Very disappointed! Looks nothing like the pictures! I don't mind rustic but it should be clean! They don't even vacuum and most of us look around the corners! They have a very nice fireplace in the room but there was leftover wood and ashes in the fireplace. And no wood for us to burn and no matches nothing at all...

Previous review of "Shabby Cabins," is a compliment. Gray Squirrel One cabin has a dangerously wobbling ceiling fan deemed inoperable by guests for safety reasons, there is no TV, phone, WIFI, air conditioning or Maid Service. For $200 per night, Blue Bird Cabin One had NO MAID SERVICE, no TV, no phone, no WIFI, no refrigerator, a tiny token coffeemaker....

The main lodge building has good atmosphere and a quaint, rustic feeling. The employees were attentive and the food was decent. However, the male owner had all the charm of a hemorrhoid, but that was a minor inconvenience compared to the cabins. They were run-down dumpy shacks. The room photos shown on the website have to be from the late...

Tried my hand at surprising my husband for an 'outdoorsy' vacay for our anniversary. The result: I'm now not able to make plans w/o consulting him 1st! HA! Now, let me preface by saying he is not the least bit snooty - his favorite place to stay is the Rodeway Inn....... Good 'Ol Reliable Rodeway Inn! ha! But he was...

The setting is charming, with wild turkeys and deer in abundance, crisp mountain air and starry nights. the charm ends there. There is a difference between rustic charm and plain shabby and run down! The cabins are one step up from tent camping but the price would have you thinking that you could expect much much more. The catered meal...

Great place tucked away in the hills outside of Julian, CA. Quiet, comfortable. Nothing frilly or fancy but rather simple and quaint. We celebrated a friends wedding here and it was a perfect setting.

This is a truly miserable place, with only its location to recommend it. The rooms are unkempt, dirty, small and infested with ants, there is no attempt at service, the staff is surly and rude, and overall, there is absolutely nothing to praise here except the view. It's a very disappointing experience, and they don't care at all. They seem...

Place suxs, male owner flat out rude. Stopped short of saying the "F" word to me. Totally unwarranted. Rooms small and dirty. Son stayed in one of the cabins and I saw spider cobwebs which speak of how run down and unkempt this place is. Camping with a tent and fear would be better. Oh yeah, hold on to your...
