My wife and I enjoyed a very relaxing and romantic stay at the Julian Gold Rush Hotel. The room was very small, but comfortable. The afternoon team was enjoyable with a nice tea selection to accompany yummy cookies and pastries. The breakfast was outstanding from the home made granola to the delicious egg dish. We also enjoyed the company of...

We stayed here for a couples conference and rented out the entire facility; it was a perfect fit for us! The proprietors served a 4:00 p.m. tea and a morning breakfast which were included with our stay and both were superb! Each guest room is uniquely designed and decorated. We had the special treat of staying in one of the...

We sure enjoyed having the couples conference stay at the Hotel. A really nice group of people. You stayed in the honeymoon house, glad you liked it. Due to the historic value of the Hotel guests must be able to negotiate stairs to access property, the handicap sign has our phone number on it so they can call and we...

We arrived early evening and Julian was full to capacity, thankfully there was a cancellation and we managed to get a room. Very tidy historic hotel , small but warm room. The staff were friendly and breakfast was included. No TV in the room which was great !

We stayed two nights. The breakfast was outstanding and the staff very friendly and accommodating. The hotel dates from 1897 and has lots of charm and lovely antiques. Lots of room to sit around in the parlor and read or play games; several are available plus puzzles. Rooms are quite small as was the case when it was built.

We always wanted to see Mt. Julian in the winter specially when it snows. We finally made it here but there was no snow as predicted. The weather is cold 52 degress, wet, and raining. My BF and I stayed at the Julian Hotel. With a reputation as historical Julian Hotel is cozy. It takes you back when Julian was...

My wife and I stayed in the Honeymoon House at the Julian Gold Rush Hotel for our 31st Anniversary...the same place we spent our honeymoon 31 years ago. The house is comprised of a bedroom with a lady's sitting area, a bathroom, and a large living room. The rooms are very nice and secluded from the other hotel rooms. Breakfast...

How wonderful to celebrate your anniversary in the same place you honeymooned! Sounds like you really enjoyed the Hotel and the whole town experience. Best wishes for many more anniversaries.

We just experienced our 5th visit to Julian and our stay at the hotel was great, I won't share the room number where we stayed, it's our secret. Another great experience, however, it was the coldest and the rainiest time we've ever spent there! The fireplace in the lobby was very warm and inviting. The "tea time" was delightful with...

After visiting Anza Borrego State Park, we decided to stay in Julian, CA. Found a special mid week (suspect Winter only) deal that was amazing. The hotel was founded and built in 1897, so it's old, but in good repair and well run. The family now running it is the fourth owner and this family has run it for 40...

Found a good deal on Groupon for this quaint historic inn and decided to use it during Valentine's week. Arrived about two hours early after a scenic local hike and were able to check-in. Received a cozy 2nd floor room. Front desk clerk, Karen, actually let us choose from 3 options which was nice. We relaxed and walked about the...

We love this hotel. Very romantic and sweet. On the street of Julians main road we love the location and LOVE the hotel itself. A real feel of quieter days gone past. My husband and I made huge efforts to get there after being snowed/mudded in!!! WORTH IT.
