Don't Waste Your Time Either. Michael, the owner, has a bad attitude. Maybe he's been doing this too long and he just is tired of running a B & B. We don't get it. Whatever is going on, Michael & Caroline need to get out of the hospitality business.

Mike's Sky Tour is extremely informative! My husband and I are astronomy fans but we didn't receive training in the field. Mike started the tour by giving a mini introduction outside his observatory. He used his laser own to point out some of the visible constellations, and it was the first time I saw them so clearly and completely! Because...

I have to say I give this a five because of the night tour, trip advisor does not have a check in for. Mike was very entertaining atleast to us, you see different things and he is very knowledgable on astronomy. He awe us a lot with the things he showed us in the telescope and the knowledge he shared...

These are 2 hard working people who provide a lovely escape from the world. This is a B and B that has 2 rooms and include a common area. This is a large mini-home. This is a truly lovely place and the rooms are worth every penny. They are large, super clean and well decorated. Bathrooms are lovely with a...

We had an amazing time visiting the observation deck of the inn. Mike was extremely knolowgable and showed us the sky in a brand new way. All the 10 and 11 year old girls really enjoyed and payed attention even though it was late for them. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone! We even saw the rings of...

Before the Cedar Fire and before my husband and I were married, we stayed at the Observer's Inn in one of their two quaint cottages, and enjoyed the star tour. When we heard that the inn had fallen victim to the fire, we were appalled. Even though the fire did not reach the research grade telescopes that are instrumental to...

How do you put into words the utter excitement to see the night sky in a way you had never seen before? What words do you use to describe looking at stars whose light began ions ago? Where do you find words to describe stars that look like diamonds scattered on a velvet pillow? Who gets to see a double...

We did not stay at this B & B but attended the sky tour in the observatory on the premises. Wow! It is incredible what you can learn and see from this experience! Mike is passionate about his observatory and it showed in the knowledge he provided us about our solar system. We would definitely recommend it.

This bed and breakfast is set just outside of the town of Julian, an escape from the San Diego area nestled in the mountains to the east. Julian has a number of attractions on its own. In addition to very comfortable accommodations in a two bedroom guesthouse, the Observer's Inn is unique in that the grounds include an astronomical observatory....

We will never look at the sky in the same way again. Michael is extremey knowedgeable and passionate about sharing his knowing. A new concept of time and seeing was born for us both. A highly recommended experience. The sky in Julian is like nothing I have ever seen.

“Both rooms are beautiful - you can't go wrong”

“The Bed and Breakfast is a brand new cottage that has 2 king size suites and a shared living room, dining room and an off limits kitchen. Both rooms are gorgeous. The "library" area is filled with interesting books on astronomy. The 5 or so acres are wonderful for hiking and bird watching. Mike and his wife provide a gourmet breakfast each morning and Mike does a sky tour each night. Mike's knowledge of the night sky is impressive and his 5 telescopes are the best you can imagine. Don't skip either of these.”
