What a great place to stay! Deanne and Ron are wonderful people. Great room and great view. Right across the street there is a mini market that have all the amenities I needed and they also serve breakfast and lunch. Only a 10 min drive to the mais street, where you'll find restaurants and a gas station. I'll definitely be...

They have it all!! We went fishing and caught some trout came back and they have a great fish cleaning station. In the evenings you can light up one of their barbecue pits and enjoy a steak and then hang out under the stars and lite up the fire pit. The fire pit looks over the Kern River and you...

Time for a new review of Sequoia Lodge! We had a lovely stay in late March. We make one or two trips a year to the Kern River and this establishment has a terrific location for beauty and peace. The new managers are doing a wonderful job of keeping this little slice of heaven neat, quiet, and scenic. Try the...

Their cancellation policy is 72 hours prior to staying and they inform you of this when you make your reservation ... however they charge your debt/charge card 10 days in advance and they don't inform you of this policy when booking your room. When I complained about the premature charge the reply, in a whimpering voice was, "we are small."...

seqlodge, Manager at Sequoia Lodge, responded to this review

Sequoia Lodge does have a policy of running a prior authorization (not an actual charge) on the credit card provided, 10 days prior to arrival. This policy is very clearly stated in the confirmation emails that we send to all guests on the date that they make their reservation. Our guests do not typically have an issue with this policy,...

I LOVE this place. My husband and I stay at the Sequoia Lodge often. The lodge is beautiful. The rooms are clean, comfortable and creatively decorated. The managers (Ron and Deanna) are awesome! They work very hard keeping the lodge and surrounding property clean and tidy. If you enjoy watching humming birds, you'll absolutely love it here. The humming birds...

We stay here only in the late fall or winter when the Kernville crowds are non-existent. Even so, it is a fine place to choose, right on the river with clean, well-appointed rooms. Nice staff and owners.

Had a great time fly fishing with a friend last in January 2015. The rooms were big and very clean and confortable. Ron & Deanna were great hosts and helped with restaurant suggestions. I've stayed there several times and it has a beautiful view of the Kern and pation/BBQ area. Hope to go back soon.

I had never been to Kernville before this trip. My girlfriend suggested the Sequoia Lodge. I booked it by Email and received confirmation shortly after. The Innkeepers Deanna and Ron were the nicest couple. They were very friendly and offered suggestions from what to do, where to dine. The property is very well kept. There were several BBQ's, patios and...

We went to Sequoia National Park for hiking during Chirstmas holiday and this was a best place to stop. The room was nice and clean with microwave and refrigerator. It was very cold at night and we got a good heater in our room. We also tried other hotel in the area and this one was the best. The only...
