Stayed at Mealy Chenda Guesthouse on Victory Hill in Sihanoukville when I first relocated to Cambodia 9 years ago. Back then Mealy was the classiest hotel on The Hill. Had a positive experience there – service was attentive, rooms were well furnished and maintained and the overall mood was pleasant. Due to that stay when travelers would ask for a...

I've been staying here on and off for 14 years. The bloke who runs the place is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and well presented. OK everything is a bit dated but I quite like that mid 90's look!! I've got no complaints. I always look at the room before paying and if I'm not satisfied he shows...

One of the oldest guesthouses on Victory Hill - and it's beginning to show its age. Tatty, dirty, grubby rooms; basic appliances (like fans) that don't work. All this (and more) gives the impression that the owners have finally given up the ghost. I sort of feel if a hotel or guesthouse cannot even guarantee the supply of one of...

After nearly two months in Cambodia we decided to treat ourselves to air conditioned accommodation for our last few days. We booked here for four nights through Agoda. It appeared to be good value for money & when we were shown our first room we thought we'd hit the jackpot. It was a huge room with a little kitchenette &...

I have stayed here before and it was good then. good room, fairly clean, good tv, nice firm bed and the main factor to go there is the balcony!! I had a great view of the sunset from room. Near to very good cheap restaurants and bars too.

My room was 17 under the main restaurant, it was clean with cable tv with poor reception but I wasn't there to watch tv. The room had a balcony with seating. The food was fine and a big buffet was available one night as they had a popular belly dancer entertaining, and the next night Cambodia celebration with a lot...

Found this gem by accident. I caught a taxi from Phnom Penh without any prior accom. booking and the driver led me to this delightful place in Capitol Hill. 5 minute maximum walking distance to bars, cafes, family mart, laundry etc. Tuk tuks virtually at door plus motor bike taxis, security night guard on duty. was amazed to be offered...

I have stayed here on numerous occasions and although the rooms are nothing special, the views from the restaurant balcony of the sunset are great. It has moved up one floor since my last visit with a bar and a pool table. Security at night is good with a friendly chap at the entrance into the grounds although during the...

I traveled to Sihanoukville, Cambodia in January and came upon the Mealy Chenda....... The terrace view and bar are FABULOUS.....what a beautiful spot..... The rooms were fine, nothing fancy, and definitely better than most lower priced places I have stayed in S.E. Asia....the restaurant did a nice job of delivering inexpensive, tasty meals, and the people were very accommodating and...
