You find a lot of retired old men in the Guesthouse that like to spend most of the time at the bar. The rooms are OK but I did not like the atmosphere. The staff is not much professional. The road that leads to this guesthouse is broken path.

As the title says, nicest $3 dorm I've stayed in thus far on a three month trip. You get a fresh toothbrush and bar soap on the bed, your own lock box with key, and the bathrooms always have toilet paper. The only iffy thing is how clean the room actually is. The room was cleaned while we were out,...

Would never recommend anybody to stay here as the staff are ridiculously rude and even called us 'strange' compared to other customers. The whole time we stayed they treated us as though we were up to something and very shady. I've never been so uncomfortable and unsafe, including them keep appearing around our room. We come to Sihanoukville often and...

Sakal Victory Hill used to be a friendly place to visit and to stay.Nowadays, the atmosphere is dull and unfriendly, with the young Khmer staff often showing arrogance and lack of experience. They get food orders wrong and the food we had seemed to be thrown together without thought and attention. When we referred to the food, the young Khmer...

Stayed at Sakal Guesthouse in town Place is unfriendly, reception is behind bars and at night they play incredibly loud music(1 am and 5am) next door. Sheets were filthy, got clean ones, though. Room is spacious and location is good, even though it's Sihanoukville.

Both of us were Eaten alive by bed bugs in rooms 103 and 104. They moved us at 5am to room 201 and 202 which was fine after a thorough inspection. Asked for discount for that night because of the inconvenience but was told it wasnt their fault. Ask for express laundry to was our clothes in case the bugs...

We recommend Sakal if you are staying in Sihanoukville for the first time, if at least a couple of nights. Its location is great, the food is well priced and the rooms are very clean and spacious. Our only issue at the time was that we got there we had a downstairs room overlooking building materials, we asked to change...

we had a lovely time here! Feeling like at home.Great bar, until the early hours. Meeting people from all over the world. Close to the beach. Close to the hill with a very great restaurant, The Look. Pool table. Quiz once a week.

I moved here as the place I was in previously (big easy) had bed bugs. Sakal also had bed bugs. Not sure if it's a problem with the are or what. Apart from that it was decent. There was a tv, towels supplied, wifi worked in my room and the shower had hot water.

We stayed at Sakal just up from Serendipity Beach as it was recommended to us by someone who had lived in Snooky for a few years, good location at the top of the town with easy walking to the beach restaurants and bars. If you want clean simple accommodation this is a good option, nothing flash but for the price...
