Sokha If a 5 star hotel asks for top dollars way north of 200 USD, they'd better deliver a top experience. I was hoping for a pleasant surprise with Sokha Beach Resort just like there are excellent 5 star hotels in Thailand or Indonesia without a name like Sheraton or Shangri La! If one likes a beehive style hotel with...

After a day of touring and witnessing the daily life of Cambodians, it is a welcome relief to think about how lucky we are to live in Australia. The people are so hospitable and a sit , drink and eat in the surroundings of this hotel are so welcoming. Lovely pool, bar and dining area. Definitely worth a visit.

We stayed here after a busy Siem Reap expecting a relaxing 3 days. First of all we switched on the do not disturb sign and place the do not disturb card on the door handle, only to be surprised by house keeping entering the room! we spoke to the front desk (Khim Vicheth - Front office manager) he promised to...

My wife and I went to Cambodia for 3 weeks and decided to check out the beaches, and we are glad we did. When we arrived at Sihanoukville we stayed at a different hotel for 3 days before going to Sokha. I say all this because we were able to check out the area before going to Sokha. You can...

Thanks god we only stayed 2 nights. the pros: the rooms are really large and the beds are comfortable. the towels are of very good quality... flip flops provided which can be practical if you did not bring your own. the cons: Checking in was long, the personnel chat with each other as they "take care of you"... not very...

Definitely not 5 star. The grounds are nice and the beach is clean but the rooms are outdated. We stayed in a "villa" but it was just 2 pretty bare rooms with outdated furniture and a bathroom in need of repair.. For the cost per night, we expected much more. They tout a private beach but buses full of cruise...

This resort is old and tired. I am sure it was something to see back in the day, For the price we paid, and the cost of labor in Cambodia....this place should be updated. Our room was OK, but needs so much, the bathtub needs refinishing, the grout, the curtains, the huge light fixture was full of bugs...etc. This 'private'...

We had 5 nights at the Sokha Beach and as others say it is not 5 star but given Cambodia's recent history you can't expect sophistication on a scale experienced elsewhere. It is a lovely hotel, set in beautiful gardens and with a long, empty, white sandy beach. The chair-beds around the pool were popular but there were loads more...

We stayed at sokha for 2 nights in a 2 bedroom suite. The rooms were large and the beds comfortable but our overall experience at Sokha was disappointing. It is far from 5 star! The service was average, there is no service to beach lounges, the food at the restaurant was served to us cold. We ordered a nice bottle...
