We got a special offer of 25$/night at the beachfront and I still thin we payed too much. They did renovations through the day and drilling sounds from 3 meters away through paper thin walls were not a good experience even though we did not spend much time at the bunlagow. Electricity went down from time to time and the...

I know this place has gotten bad reviews in the past, but it's true: it's under new management. The place is clean, the staff polite, the breakfast included in the price and delicious, the mattresses incredibly comfortable and the rooms, clean and with all the basic amenities. We booked the beachfront bungalow, which is rather spacious, albeit right next to...

To review this place i will start from the top being the top of the hill where reception is located. To get there you willl have to traverse 150m of an unsealed gravel road along with washouts. No taxi or tuk tuk will take you. Once there you will be greeted by very friendly people. My Seaview bungalow wasn't, due...

The first room they gave us was so unbelievably dirty. When we asked to move all the staff were visibly drunk and unhelpful. We finally got another room which was ok. Location is nice but place is so run down and dirty and outside environment is tatty and unloved. Never again.

Dear Amy, We are really sorry for the bad experience you had in Malibu Bungalows before. It is true the place looked unloved, but now we are here, the new management team for Malibu Bungalows, and we are doing our best currently to upgraded our hotel, and hopefully by November we can make our guest satisfied again with our service,...

Booked a bungalow.. or hut, at this place which was supposed to have an ocean view and air-conditioning. Online description was a big stretch from what you truly see here. We have wondered since how accurate the reviews were when we booked. Upon checking in they wanted to hold our passports for the duration of our stay - 10 days,...

7 reasons to stay somewhere else: 1. Location: this small group of bungalows is too far from Serendipity beach and Sokha beach. We had to take a taxi to and from the bungalows to reach any restaurant, shop, or beach. Walking will take 35 minutes along a backroad. There are no lights on the road at night. 2. Getting there:...

Stayed for just one night. First we got shown the wrong bungalow, then had to change after just unpacking. Although we then waited for an hour to move over the other bungalow wasn't properly cleaned. Staff was friendly but not willing to make up for the trouble, manager seemed uninterested and cold. Location is a bit secluded and tuktuks/motos/pickup bus...

The Malibu Bungalows are located on a hill, were the road is full of garbage and big holes, which made it hard for the tuktuk-driver to take us to the hotel in first place. The bungalows were cozy. The fan did provide a little bit of cooling, but it was very humid in the bungalow and the shower were not...

“We stayed in the beach bungalow. They seemed to shift everyone around a lot.....The higher rooms seem to be disturbed by the noise from the Cloud 9 night club that went all night.”

“There are plenty of rooms around Malibu Hotel, maybe at a price of 25-30$/night, a little bit more expensive, although the whole beach area is noisy, with a lot of dancing clubs. Maybe the hotels on the main street are quieter. I would suggest Otres Beach for vacation and relax, although it is 8km far from the centre (Sihanoukville, which is for youth and fun) and the tuk tuk costs 5$ one way. Anyhow, the bungaloes/hotels/beaches at Otres Beach are much better, but there is nothing else to do there, except for swimming.”
